Dr. Smruti Jayesh Kinariwala, MD

We loved our first appointment with Dr. K. She really took her time getting to know us and our son Luke. She was careful to explain all parts of her exam so we knew what she was looking for. She gave suggestions on how to work on his near term development and pointed out what would be considered normal/concerning. Our appointment was very comfortable and you can tell she is very knowledgeable and cares about her patients.

I appreciated how Dr. K involved my daughter in the visit from the very beginning. Dr. K began building rapport with her from the moment she stepped in the room and included her in the entire visit. Dr. K was incredibly thorough in her exam while also respecting my daughter's wishes. It is my experience that Dr. K has a variety of interpersonal skills to interact and involve patients whether they are 9yo (my daughter) or 2yo (my son).

Dr. K is so knowledgeable. I'm so glad we switched our daughter's care from Baptist to UF.

While in Elizabeth City she was able to diagnose my son who had been misdiagnosed by several other doctors. She immediately took action which prompted my son to have an emergency surgery that saved his life. She also cared for my children far beyond coastal pediatrics, often going out of her way to speak to myself and my children when she saw us around town. She is caring and always treated my children as if they were one of her own.

Dr. Kinariwala is a physician who was head and shoulders above her peers when she practiced at Tricare Prime Clinic Virginia Beach. I was incredibly sad to see her go. She took care of both of my boys from the time they were born and her care and attention was unparalleled. She inspected them from head to toe whereas providers after her didn’t lay a finger on the. Her passion for medicine is palpable and I am grateful to have known her, if only for a short time.
