Dr. Sofija A. Rak

I have changed doctors. After going to her for a few years, I realized there are other doctors who have a better disposition. She was rude and not ready to help patients. Ready to check the boxes on her screen, but not very patient centered.

i’ve been going to Dr Rak for a few years now & each time I leave, I think “i won’t come here again “! The associate PAs are very nice and caring & I’d rather see them . Todays experience , however , has made my decision to go somewhere else ??. i called yesterday to get an appointment, because I tested positive for Covid 19 and wanted my doctor to help me through this .. I was on Hold, on the phone, for 1 hour 15 minutes !!! After finally someone answered & gave me an appt for 11:30 today ( a virtual visit ). So this morning, the appointment desk called me @ 7:30am to say that I have to fill out a Patient Portal .. if i don’t fill it out Dr Rak will not communicate with me & I should go to an Urgent Care facility … what ??? I was in disbelief really . I tried to fill out the requested portal.. but at the end it wanted payment & card information !! I’m sick with Covid & can’t go to the other end of my house to get my purse & info required . So, I call back to the office to… tell them , hoping the Doctor would at least talk to me …Nope, I was told again that Dr Rak has stated she will not communicate with me unless I have these forms filled out ..,,This is mind boggling & very disappointing !!! I would not recommend anyone to go here ! when i am so sick & my doctor wouldn’t talk to me by phone , that’s Cold & Uncaring ?? I know others who have already moved their care to other Providers as they found Dr Rak to be arrogant & indifferent to Senior people .. Now it is my turn.

Dr. Rak is lacking in compassion, empathy, and basic human connection. Zero interest in patient well being and healthcare. Worst experience ever with a Dr.!!

Dr. Rak did not know how to read my mother's bloodwork, but it was all abnormal. My Mom died of acute myeloid leukemia 5 months later.

I just left my appointment and I am completely shocked at the level of service I just received! Sofija Rak is one the most dismissive, unprepared, unprofessional and arrogant physicians I have ever met! Not only did she tell me I was practically lying about my health history- she dismissed all the reason why I made the appointment in the first place! When I asked her questions- she would not answer them, she told me she would not explain nor discuss all of my concerns- but only one. She had to Research my previous health ailment and told me what I went through was not a “real” thing. After she researched it and saw it was in fact true- she again dismissed it. It got to the point I had to ask her, “What kind of appointment is this?” Do not.... do not..... do not choose her! If your one of those people who have zero health concerns and is just looking to be in out- she may be for you. But if your looking for an in depth analysis of your health- no!

Never have I felt dehumanized as I did with this doctor. Not only did she wear gloves when doing my physical exam, she also did so over my clothing, appeared to be in a hurry, stereotyped me by assuming that I as well as my family had diabetes and/or hypertension, she appeared to be in a hurry and did not take the time to listen to me. I felt like I was inconveniencing her. No compassion or kindness was expressed. My previous physician left after I had been with her for 19 years so, I rolled the dice in choosing what remaining physician I would see. I crapped out. This woman is horrible and should not be practicing medicine.

Terribly disappointed. Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor.

My daughter started going to Dr. Sofija Rak approximately 7 months ago and refuses to go anywhere else. Dr. Rak listens and has excellent bedside manners as well as she is able to relate to my daughter who is 18. My daughter has never spoken so highly of any healthcare professional like she does Dr. Rak. Her professionalism goes beyond the 4 star rating I have given.
