Dr. Sofya Markovna Rubinchik, MD

Dr Rubinchik is a psychiatrist and gerontology counselor of excellent education and vast experience. She knows her work but does not hold hands. She is matter of fact (objective) and direct in a field with numerous and elusive variables. My experience with her has been cordial, professional and to the point, avoiding whenever possible the drama on which I might otherwise dwell. I recommend her highly.

Just what I like in a psychiatrist. Has exceptional knowledge and judgement . I"ve seen psychiatrists in the past who overloaded me with medications and were not very careful and had personality problems. Don't understand negative reviews. It's time for some people to quit whining.

Worst Doctor? experience ever. Prescribed pills with bad side effects and when I came back, she prescribed them again!! KNOWING that they were bad for me. NEEDS TO RETIRE!

I think she is very nice and has never been rude. Bright and compassionate in her own way. I believe that patients have a responsibility to communicate fairly with their doctors too. Doctors have to followup with patients legally and for their own good.

She is very careful and has a lot of experience and knowledge.

I don't know how to rate this Dr but I would have to put myself in her shoes---however she prescribed meds and unless you made a extra appointment she would not consider it---The meds she gave me was worthless except it did NOT do a good exchange with my other meds--I had side effects---when I called about it she never attempted anything different---I actually threw them out as it sky rocket my blood pressure so bad that it took a week to get it back to normal---this is VERY DANGEROUS-She interviewed me fairly BUT the people who drove me there to see her should of been her patient as she over rode me, to listen to them instead. So why would someone go back if she would rather listen to other people without giving her client more attention---DO NOT BRING OTHERS WITH YOU TO SEE THIS DOCTOR--AND WATCH FORTHE SIDE EFFECTS OF HER MEDS THAT WILL MESS UP YOUR BLOODPRESSURE----and if you don't make another appointment she will NOT give you meds---meds that a person needs---and to think I was… the only sane patient in the waiting room !---Signed John Doe

Dr R is fantastic. She’s patient with me and very understanding. I have no trouble understanding her. I have been seeing her for a few years and she has never been rude at all. I highly recommend her

I visited with Dr. Rubinchik twice so far and not once was I pleased. I was inpatient at the Kaseman/Presbyterian hospital and she was the doctor who discharged me. She made me cry and asked VERY personal questions in regards to my relationship. She’s very rude and laughs at you. I saw her again in a follow up appointment and she told me I didn’t seem “happy”. So I told her she was a b**** and that she didn’t even try to get to know me in the first place, to make a decision to discharge me. Rude rude rude! Do not work with her. She’s very disrespectful and I hope she realizes that someday while working with clients, because mental health is a big issue!
