Found her to be educational and caring about patient.

Seen for thyroid issue and she ordered a test that was not necessary. Explained things about the condition that were not related and then didn’t give me enough time to ask questions. Left me with tons of questions and anxiety. Will definitely not go back to this doctor!

Doesn't care about patients that go to her for medical examination. Had a thyroid issue and she recommended some tests for it which as her should have costed $300 - got bills amounting close to $2000 from the insurance and when we reached out multiple times for an explanation - got no response. gave a call back to the nurse stating that we are interested in surgery and got an immediate call back within a day to schedule the surgery

Don't question her or research your condition so you can be better informed. She will kick you out. It has to be her way or the highway. All people do not fit in a "box"

Completely messed me up. Not her personally but her staff did. and eventually its the doctors responsibility. There was no follow-up after calls on the emergency number. Led me to believe I had a heart issue when it was well and truly a thyroid issue.

Dr. Kashyap is a very nice, caring Physician. Unfortunately, the Hospitals that own the Medical Offices dictate to the Doctor's how to administer care. CMC is looking for a profit. CMC knows that if you have to come to the hospital and be admitted they will make more money than a Patient being treated appropriately in the Medical office. The only way to avoid this, is by locating Doctor's that own their own private practices which is small in number in NC. Lab test are okay for some things, holistically, what may be normal for one person to function on a normal level may me abnormal for another. Medical schools are not teaching this approach anymore.

She is so terrific. Her bedside manner is so appreciated and the care and time she takes to explain everything to put me at ease. She even breaks it down for you to understand clearly. The staff is very good also. I am so grateful to have her as one of my doctors. When I leave her, I am confident that I am getting the best of care.

I contacted Blue Cross Blue Shield because I wanted to change my primary care physician and was told Dr. Sona Kashyap was under my health insurance plan. Because Dr. Kashyap was an Endocrinologist and I was on thyoid medication and I had concerns over my hormonal imbalance I made an appointment to see her. It took several weeks to get an appointment with her at the Pineville office. The day of my appoitnment I was very ill with a sinus infection and sick headache. The nurse was attentive and asked me lots of questions and I went over my medical history and told her my health issues and concerns. I went over all the medications I was on and provided a copy of my last lab results which showed my thyroid levels were high, I had muscle loss and my iron levels were low. She said she would relay the information to Dr. Kashyap. I also told Dr. Kashyap I had to stop taking the statin for my high cholestrol due to adverse side effects of muscle loss and eye problems. I told her I had been… feeling very ill over the past few days and had a sick headache and thought I had a sinus infection. Dr. Kashyap told me she was a specialist and not a primary care physician. Dr. Kashyap only addressed my thyroid and had the nurse draw blood to check my thyroid levels only. She gave me a sample for a name brand thryroid medication. She said to make a follow up appointment to evaluate my thyroid hormone levels in six months. I do not think Dr. Kashyap listened to me or cared about any of my other health concerns.
