Dr. Sonia Mohammed Gof, MD

Dr. Gof is such a gentle, kind, caring doctor and woman. She truly takes the time to make you feel comfortable and answer your questions. I had a very traumatic first labor and delivery with another doctor, so I was exceptionally nervous for the birth of my second baby. Dr. Gof put all of my worries to rest. She delivered my baby via a joyous and pleasant c-section, and took excellent care of me postpartum. I now have a favorable opinion of birth, and pray I get to experience another birth with Dr. Gof.

I needed records sent to another specialist for further exam before my visit and they never received them. I left message after message inquiring about my records and continued to not receive any follow-up. Dr. Goff also dismissed findings in an internal ultrasound that may require surgery. She never discussed anything with me and when I called, left another voicemail, and emailed...I finally received an email reply from the Office Manager (not even the Dr. herself) that the finding was insignificant. No further explanation or concern at all and no way for me to ask any further questions about it. Luckily, I had another health care professional advise that my issue needs to be closely monitored and treated before I should try to have a baby as it could have caused complications.

dismissed my symptoms that were very serious and did not offer to explore alternative diagnoses, or diagnostics. she never addressed my progressing pain over the past 7 months, and offered no explanation for the severe, intractable uterine cramping i've been having that occurs about 75% of past two months, aside from another few significant symptoms accompanying the pain. despite my concerns, she was unwilling to hear anything other than her opinion. i left feeling badly and perplexed and that my concerns as both a patient and professional were not taken at all seriously. i am now with my second opinion specialist, who is listening to my concerns, and not invalidating or dismissing them, but rather is equally concerned and who is addressing my situation accordingly. my advice to sonia gof, MD, is that she should actually listen and take the patient's concerns seriously, because we are intuitive about our own bodies. She should also understand that a good doctor is one who keeps an… open mind, not one who thinks their opinion is the gold standard, especially when they refused to pursue/order further diagnostics to rule out all other possibilities other than her final opinion.

Dr. Gof is kind and caring. She makes you feel at ease while taking the time to listen and take care of all of your medical needs.

She is the best doctor, I really love her. I miss her I will visit soon.

Now i relocated to nc and Struggling to find a wonderful doctor like Dr. Goff. She was so patient with me had a c section with her you cant even tell at all very clean incision and fie first time i was not scared tongo into surgery . Wish there were more dr goff out there

I was referred to Dr. Gof by a hospital emergency room doctor I had seen. How lucky I was to be seen by her. The first visit she put me at ease, answered all my questions, and took a compete history. While I was quite apprehensive, she was so reassuring that I was soon put at ease by her gentle manner. I have a follow up appointment with her, and I am actually looking forward to it!

Sonia Gof the best one in my life.She so kind and so nice person I've ever seen in my life.I so respect her and what she's doing. Thanks God i met her in my life she makes my life easer and more comfortable.

Dr. Sonia Gof is the best Obgyn I have ever seen. I should know I. Had 7 before i was lucky enough to meet her. She knows what she's talking about, is understanding and explains everything you need to know. My only regret is not finding her sooner! Thanks Dr. Gof for making those uncomfortable appointments that much easier.
