Terrible Doctor, Screwed up my arm was suppose to be one and done surgery and thanks to Sonu, Went from playing tennis to not being able to hold my toddler. Terrible!

Dr. Ahluwalia was a doctor who saved me when my first hip surgery was done correctly by another doctor but he stepped in when a bone dislodged a second time. He came to the hospital and made sure that a different surgeon performed the correction and my hip is terrific. He also did a ACL on a knee which resulted in a perfect result. He is so helpful, listens to what you say and helps in every way he can. I recommend him with 10 stars!

Dr. Ahluwalia, a heartfelt thank you! I’m pain free, physically active and my heart is on the rebound. Literally, I have a new lease on life because of you. Wanted to share a great experience that I had with Dr. Ahluwalia this spring. I’m a 57-year-old patient with a bone on bone hip condition, was physically active until chronic pain set in a few years ago and had to stop snowboarding, jogging; virtually all activates. At first I tried stem cell and PRP injections to see if that would do the trick. After one year it achieved limited relief and joint pain was coming back with a vengeance. Fast forward two years and growing weary of a sedentary life to manage pain, I was motivated for a lasting solution. That ideal pain free future translated into the need for a hip replacement. Unfortunately, this fairly routine procedure was somewhat complicated by a more recent, congestive heart failure diagnosis, resulting from a genetic mutation. When I consulted with Dr. Ahluwalia about… the hip replacement, my heart’s ejection fraction that was a lowly 30%, 5% below the severe threshold level. If you haven’t reviewed Dr. Ahluwalia’s academic credentials, they are impeccable; Harvard Medical School grad, Chief Resident at Mass General, Clinical Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Cedars Sinai and double board certified in Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery. With all these credentials, and a Beverly Hills office to further burnish the image, I had assumed I was going to meet someone with a healthy ego. Reality couldn’t have been any different, Dr. Ahluwalia was incredibly humble and spent more time in my initial office visit than any surgeon previously had in my life. As a former collegiate football player and nearly four decades of seeing surgeons and sports medicine doctors, he was the first to recognize that my left leg was slightly shorter than my right leg (which he fixed by the way). No detail was too small, he’s a perfectionist, was very down to earth and very practical in his recommendations. After Dr. Ahluwalia performed my hip replacement, I was up walking that evening and took several long laps around the hospital ward the next morning, was discharged within 24 hours of my surgery. The nurse was surprised at how far I was walking the day after the surgery and how little pain medication I needed. I commented to the nurse that I had a very good Doctor, at which the nurse responded with a hushed voice, “Dr. Ahluwalia’s patients always seem to recover a little faster”! Within three days of my surgery, I was back in my office working. At eight weeks of religiously adhering to Physical Therapy, I walked with my wife four miles, pain free, which I haven’t done in years. The news only gets better, because I’m now walking 3.5 miles per day and building cardio stamina, I literally stunned my Stanford Cardiologist with the results of my latest echocardiogram. My ejection fraction jumped to 45%, out of the severe danger zone and in a much healthier place in life, physically and mentally. Originally, I was reticent to get the hip replacement done as it would force me to set aside my passion for snowboarding with our daughters. So if you’re a fence sitter like I was and the thought of having your bone structure cut out and replaced with titanium and metal alloys is holding you back, I can only advise “get on with it”! You’ll be much happier on the other side, pain free and far more active. If you’re trying to decide who to use as an orthopedic surgeon, you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone better than Dr. Ahluwalia, anywhere.
