Although a native of the Old Pueblo, I have traveled far before settling in the city of my childhood. I studied anthropology at Dartmouth College, public health at Johns Hopkins, and medicine at the University of Arizona. My pediatric training includes Columbia University and the University of Arizona. My interest in the cultural aspects of health care led me to an Indian Health Service clinic on the Navajo reservation, to the Pima reservation with NIH researchers, and to a clinic for homeless youth in Honduras. I have seen disparities in health in all these places, as well as in the Middle East and Africa, and even in New York City. I enjoy practicing medicine in a place where the remarkable progress in public health, including vaccines and screening for chronic illness, allows us to raise healthy children who will grow into healthy adults. I joined Catalina Pediatrics in 1999, and am delighted to see my first babies becoming teens, and to care for the children of former patients. …These days my husband and I are busy with our 3 children. Our interests include pottery, restoring cars, and spending time with our extended families.

Dr. Moussa is by far the best doctor we’ve ever had the honor of working with. Our children have lived all over the place, and one of the perks to living here in Tucson is Dr. Moussa. She is thorough, professional yet super kind with our little ones, and her communication skills are great. Our children love coming to see her. I never feel like she’s talking down to me (lots of doctors make me feel like they’re in a hurry and can’t be bothered with little concerns). Her follow up is incredible: not only does she keep an open line of communication through the portal, but she responds faster than I can get to the account! Dr. Moussa is the best.

We had a terrible experience with this practice. The doctor cancelled the appointment we waited weeks to get the day of the appointment on two occasions. On one of these occasions, we were in the office and waited through the lunch hour and then they said they wouldn't see us because the doctor was too busy. Then they didn't want to refund the co-pay and made us wait until the office manager returned from lunch to get a refund. We made an appointment specifically to get a vaccine. They didn't bother to let us know in advance that they don't have the vaccine and then never called to tell us it was in. They are rude, unprofessional, and disorganized.

She is just so wonderful. So caring, attentive and loving. My son has autism and she is as good with him as she is with my daughter,who does not have autism. I cannot recommend her enough!!!

She had been my son's doctor since his birth. I can not imagine a better pediatrician.

Love love love Dr. Moussa. She takes time with us, genuinely cares about my family as a whole, and listens to what we say. I could not imagine having another pediatrician taking care of my daughter.

Excellent care!! Dr Moussa always takes time to listen! She never makes you feel rushed. She has excellent interactions with young kids!
