I have had a great experience with Dr. K. She has been helping get my numbers in line and has given me the tests needed to find my critical needs. I trust that if I can do what she asks I will maintain my heart health rather than have to have bypass in the future. I like her approach and holistic attitude. She stays on top of the most current information and has been doing ongoing follow-ups with me to keep my meds and lifestyle changes in line. Now it's up to me.

I asked Dr. Karahalios if she would be willing to treat me for a condition I have already had diagnosed, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardial Syndrome, which she agreed to do. I spend 6 months seeing her with a total of two visits, during which she perscribed two expensive tests and one medication, one of these tests was a repeat of one I had years before, but I had no reason not to trust her. After these tests she explained that my condition was stable (without asking any follow-up questions) and when I corrected her she promptly recommended I see another cardiologist. I spent six months I could have been being treated for two appointments that I could have got from my general practitioner. Except my general practitioner wouldn't have been so dismissive of my conditions. If you have no heart problems I believe Karahalios would be a fine doctor for general check-ups, but you can get everything she perscribed for me from a general practitioner in much less time.
