Easily earned a 5 star rating. Knowledgeable, thorough, talks to you not at you, surgery went very well, would definitely use him again. Easy to recommend.

Dr Kirk was kind but not thorough, my husband was sick for seven months, weight loss, poor appetite, peritoneal infection, all signs colon cancer misdiagnosed. Requested further investigation such as Colonoscopy and was told it was not indicated. Heartbroken with Adenocarcinoma.

I really appreciated Dr. Kirk! He was quick and efficient but made me feel listened to and cared for. After reviewing my MRI results with me at my follow-up, he told me he would further research what was found and he actually ended up calling me less than an hour later!

Nothing but praise for Dr. Kirk and his staff especially Tammy. Nothing but good to say about all aspects of the process.

My Mother had had a lymphoma tumor excised, a port placed, the same port removed, then a port placed again, a consultation for new tumor excision and finally an exam for hemorrhoids all in the last three years and have been extremely satisfied with Dr. Spencer Kirk and staff! When a person is fighting for their life you need this type of royal treatment! I am forever grateful for the great care she received and I highly recommend!!

I went into the emergency room on a Tuesday evening unable to keep food or water down and pain in my upper abdomen. I had a lapband several years prior and felt it had become a problem. They did a heart check and aorta resection scan and dismissed me with a diagnosis of a hiatal hernia, On Thursday, many pounds lighter and weaker, I had an appointment with my primary doctor. She listened to me and called emergency as my advocate. Dr. Kirk stepped up and said he would see me. He diagnosed me as a failed lapband and stomach blockage. The next morning he took me into surgery expecting a surgery lasting a couple hours. Instead he found that my stomach was dead because of a lack of blood supply. He stayed in surgery with me from 9 am to 5 pm and did a tremendous job of saving my life instead of giving up. He had to hand stitch my esophagus to my small intestine. After the surgery he was very upfront with us about how carefully I would have to eat and exercise for awhile so I did not… tear out his stitching. He has followed up with me and helped with a dietician and the supplements I need to live with, It's been a life changing experience for me but thanks to Dr, Kirk, I still have a life. I have been telling my friends of his good work and would not hesitate to recommend him or ask him for help if I need surgery again. On a scale of 1-5 stars, I would give him a 7.
