Dr. Spiro B. Antoniades, MD

I was referred by another orthopedics and my primary Dr. As a new patient, you have certain expectations. The office was friendly and punctual but the bedside manner of Dr. Antoniades was not favorable. I went to his office to look for answers and how they could reduce the pain that I have been living with for over ten years due to several conditions of RA, Fibromyalgia, psoriasis arthritis, and spinal issues due to my discs in my back. I thought he was my hope, but Dr. Antoniades just looked at me and said, "I need to lose weight" I need to lose 100lbs and not eat for a year". This comment offended me, especially since the doctor didn't review anything. I have never been insulted by a doctor in my 59 years. He just dismissed my issues and related to being overweight. II consulted with my primary care provider and the orthopedist who referred me, and they were also appalled. I will not refer anyone to this doctor.

Dr. Antoniades is a very good doctor! He makes recommendations about what you should do and leaves it to the patient to decide. He doesn't push you into anything which is rather refreshing. I highly recommend him .

You took the time to really SEE my husband. You studied his imaging and asked him questions, did a physical exam and inquired about his pain. You found the problem that others did not take the time to see. Not only did you find it, but you fixed it! Thank you for giving my husband some quality of life back that is largely pain free!

My time with Dr. Antoniades was horrible. On my first visit he was more worried about finding my records from 25 years ago then what was going on with me at the present. Didn't say much on this visit then to say I want you to get a MRI. Second visit was even worst then the first visit. He didn't even go over the MRI with me. All he said was that he could write me a prescription. I answered no thanks. He has no manners at all. Showed no compassion. No people skills. Would NEVER recommend him to anyone. He totally wasted my time. He should pay me back for my time and unsatisfactory service.

I want to thank Dr Antoniades so much for making me a well man. I was at the point where I couldn't walk and this man looked me in the eye and told me I'm going to fix you...And today I am out doing my yard work and can take care of the things that I need to get done around my house . I feel like a new man ...Again Thank You So Much for fixing my spine ..And just to let everyone know I had my entire spine done .not just parts ..1-cervical thru 7-c...I-Lower thru 7L.

Insensitive, rude, not at all pleasant. Lacks manners, respect and listening skills. His staff however is pretty nice, he on the other hand is rude and not helpful at all. Offered to prescribe me medication and send me to “someone else”.

Dr. Antonaides could buff up on his patient approach. Unless he takes the time to EXPLAIN what is wrong, how can he expect the patient to "tell him what they want" beyond just feeling better? However, I am impressed with his desire to hold surgery as the last option.

Dr. Antoniades is a Excellent doctor!!! I had spine surgery 3 weeks ago. I'm still healing but feel so much improvement already. This was my 3rd spine surgery. I love everything about this wonderful doctor as well as his kind and caring staff!!!! I definitely recommend this doctor!! Excellent!!!!

I went in for what I thought was a standard herniated disc and found out that my condition was so serious that Dr. Antoniades strongly advised me to get immediate emergency surgery. I was very upset, because Dr. Antoniades has a reputation for being conservative and I had no idea my condition was so serious. He was calm, clear, and direct. He has an excellent bedside manner. He didn't try to push me into anything, but he made sure I understood the risks associated with my options. I decided to go for the surgery the next day; that was three days ago. The operation went very smoothly. I am shocked by how quickly I'm recovering and by how little pain I have. His staff is patient, caring, and professional. He and his staff are happy to take as much time as they need to answer all of my questions. I could not recommend this doctor more highly.
