Spomenka has been my children’s pediatrician for the last 7 years. The are times I set up an appointment for one child and two or more kids are also sick. The staff will accommodate us (with in reason!) The staff is always helpful and kind. The front desk and insurance person are amazing in helping with insurance, when insurance paperwork it’s needed. With FOUR children, I am a regular and they have ALWAYS gone above and beyond to help. Spomenka is extremely knowledgeable and has a mini hospital there-she does IV, X-ray, cast, stitches; which, is great because I don’t have to go to the ER and save on cost, no waiting, and phenomenal care. In addition, Spomenka does Behavioral Health and Homeopathic Medicine. We have use almost all of her services! Spomenka provides a services and should be compensated as such. Jercinovic Pediatrics provides high quality healthcare with a holistic approach.

These people were my pedestrians growing up and I’ve brought my kids there for the last 4 years. Unfortunately the people they hire to work the desk are scum. They screwed up the billing with my insurance and when the insurance paid the bill, the office wanted to rebill for a different amount, when insurance said they had already paid it in full since we got our max out of pocket for the year the office refused to see my extremely sick toddler and infant because they wanted $350 before they would even see them. It’s between their failed employees and my insurance but they will refuse service to sick children over it. Sad to see what these people have come to be but it’s not a shock. Spomenka is a good doctor but their employees are the worst I’ve ever dealt with. They lost 3 patients over this and I’m sure we are not the first. Don’t waste your time, there are many other caring doctors in the area that have a staff able to do their job the right way.

Always knew what was going on and is very to the point. Also knows many natural options and includes you in the care process!

I have been a patient here at Jercinovic Pediatrics my entire life, as well as my siblings. I primarily see Spomenka but never mind seeing whoever is available. Doctor Spomanka has been one of the only doctors that has ever explained things thoroughly, never sugar coated anything and was always straight to the point. I have always heard about and even witnessed many mothers become bothered or angry with her because she is "rude, not compassionate," She might not always bite her tongue or choose the right words lol but when it comes to my health I would always choose a doctor that will tell me right off the bat how it is, if i need to lose weight, or whatever the case may be. She is nothing but a warm, compassionate woman who cares about her patients like no other. She will always be by your side when you need her to be and will do everything in her power to get you the care you need outside her office if she needs to send you else where for more care. It is pretty upsetting to read… reviews about her being anything but excellent because she truly is the best! With most of these reviews i can only think to say: it can be hard to hear certain things but they are things you need to hear, no other doctor has the guts to tell you how things are and if its something serious that you need to worry about or not. Trust me she has great knowledge and knows what she is doing. Unlike any other doctor if she wont make you go through unnecessary testing if she does not see it fit. I truly recommend bring your children here.

We had been going to Dr. J Pediatrics since our 6.5 month old daughter was born in Oct. 2015. We had seen Dr. Bruno in the past, as well as CNP Deidre Casagrande, and both were good. On this particular visit, our daughter had been sick, possibly a stomach bug, and we were concerned so brought her in. Dr. Spomenka was the only one available with short notice. She walked in the room, started babbling things to me and grabbed for my daughter. Immediately I felt a bad vibe. I explained what symptoms she was having, and then the Dr. Started grabbing my daughter's feet and legs, telling me she needed physical therapy. Not once had any other doctor mentioned this before in 6 months time. The Dr. Then pulled up my daughter's growth chart- and immediately started to lecture me on how she needed to be fed formula and that how "breastfeeding was just for fun" but "you need the calories from formula." While my daughter is on the smaller side and did have slow weight gain, she's trending… back up on the growth chart and even jumped up 2% in a month! So for a doctor to shame me and make me feel like I am starving my child, when she is clearly gaining weight, happy and healthy, is not a doctor I will be returning to ever. Deidre is the one to see if you attend this practice- she is knowledgable, friendly and supports breastfeeding. Dr. Spomenka was not pleasant at all, had zero bedside manner or interaction skills with babies.

This review may be a little old, but Dr. Jercinovic really saved my daughter's life. It was not even time for our Appointment when she was walking through, back to her office and saw my daughter sitting there, We were on our way to silver cross hospital in less then 6 minutes. -Now this was many years ago I know (she went on to treat the rest of my children and was always kind, and caring). Now my daughter has had her first child and moved back to the Joliet area. She can't wait for her baby to have "her pediatrician".

She is HARSH & RUDE! She would cut down my daughter saying she wasn't washing her face because she had acne, also be little her, regarding color of clothes she had on (even though she has the same thing on every time we visit). Isn't it ironic my child sees her for anxiety issues! I will never bring my child back to this horrible women. She not only insults my child but insults my parenting skills in the process......according to her I should let my child do whatever they want, do not say NO, do not have rules, let them run the household, because they are upset with rules and don't like them and if they don't want to go somewhere DO NOT MAKE THEM. Really?????

I was Dr. Jercinovic's patient. My mom and I were always left waiting atleast an hour before the appointment even started. She was extremely harsh and negative towards her patients. I was an overweight child, and she had often told me that she was suprised I wasn't depressed for being so fat. YOU DO NOT TELL A CHILD THEY ARE FAT AND SHOULD BE DEPRESSED!!! She is rude and heartless, and has caused many of my self esteem issues. Do not put your child through that torture.

Spomenka Jercinovic met my 3 yr old for 10 minutes and diagnosed him ADHD and tried prescribing him Ritalin. She said the only way he could be successful is if he was medicated. I got a second and third opinion who said my son was not appropriate for medication and one of the opinions ( a neuropsych) is in the process of running a series of tests to determine where the behavioral difficulties are stemming from. If in fact he is diagnosed ADHD she said she still would not recommend meds. This is not my only negative experience with this Dr. She DOES NOT like her patients parents to have an opinion in regards to their care, seems like her way or the highway
