Dr. Sri Charan Chalikonda, MD

I believe I am alive today due to the knowledge and professionalism of this surgeon. Seven years ago this month this man performed just short of a 13 hour surgery on me . It was a rare and complicated cancer and he did everything needed to cure me. He also lined up another surgeon to stand by in case needed to perform hysterectomy. His intuition was correct. I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for being directed to him. He was only among 2 surgeons who performed this type of surgery. Highly recommend him.

I should have listened to the previous patient who said he had no regard for female patients. After the surgery he acted with complete disdain toward me. It seemed as if he just performed exploratory surgery just to meet a surgery quota then blew me off.

This doctor was more interested in performing an unnecessary operation than finding out what the real problem was. The only tests he had performed prior to surgery were the ones that needed to be done in order to perform surgery and not to actually rule out any other diagnosis. Then afterward I never received a follow-up phone call, nor did they set up a follow-up appointment with me after surgery to check on me.

Solved my recurring gall bladder issue, very quickly and seemed like a nice guy the whole way through the process. Couldn't really ask for anything better.

Dr. Chalikonda had to open me wide up to take out a gall bladder remnant from a previous gall bladder surgery that left me with digestional and other problems. My symptoms were not the typical symptoms, and other doctors were trying to tell me I had IBS, when that was clearly not the case. Dr Chalikonda had a great willingness to find out what was going on with me, and to find a solution that would help me. He met with me and discussed the complications and symptoms I was having, at length. I also stayed at the Cleveland Clinic and underwent tests for two days. I recevied excellent care by the Cleveland Clinic staff, comparable to no other hospital to which I have been. Their standard of care was impressive.Dr Chalikonda opened me up and removed the gall bladder remnant, and I could immidiately tell that my "plumbing" was hooked up and working differently. It has taken about a year for my stomach to adjust and tolerate more foods, but I am certain I would have been much worse off if he… did not have willingess to look for the cause of my complications.I went to the Cleveland Clinic, a world-class hospital, with the hopes of seeking relief from the complications stemming from my previous surgery. What I found is that Dr. Chalikonda is also a world-class doctor. Thanks, Dr. Chalikonda!

I had my gall bladder removed by Dr. Chalikondra and Dr. Moore this last month.I felt safe and secure with both of them and they did an outstanding job. I havent felt this good in three years. I can breath better and have no more of that nagging pain. I wish I would have done it sooner. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. Great experience!!! No complaints!!!!

I had 2 hernia surgeries from this doctor and both were bad as he stitched and stapled my bladder into the mesh and I had to have another surgery to repair my bladder by cutting some of it away. I only have a 40% chance of it working for me. He had no manners at all as if women were low on the list.
