Dr. Sridhar Patlolla Reddy, MD

Dr. Reddy gave me my 1st colonoscopy almost 5 years ago and diagnosed me with diverticulosis.I was satisfied with appointment. But last year my primary care doctor suggested I be seen by him due to bowl problems. He denied to see me because he had already seen me 4-5 years ago and told my doctor to treat me for chronic constipation. I ended up in ER last night with Moderate severity sigmoid diverticulosis. The pain is unreal. I explained I'm on medication for constipation. After tests they told me quit taking the pills I'm not constipated and that I should have seen a GI months ago. I told them I tried and was denied. It is a holiday weekend of coarse everyone is closed. I see a different GI on Wednesday. I'm very disappointed with Dr. Reddy refusing to see me last year. I should have been treated for this, now I'm paying the consequences.

I was impressed with Dr Reddy. He came to see me in St David's Red River and correctly diagnosed my problems. He ordered a NG tube to clean out my stomach and then did an upper GI on a Saturday to bust up scar tissue that was causing me to throw up everything. A week later, I am on regular food and eating well. I will follow up with him in 2 weeks and will update my review on his office visit. Dr Reddy explained what the problem was and how he fixed it. He spent all the time I needed with me in the hospital.

Dr. Reddy may be a fine Doctor. He performed my first colonoscopy and follow up surgery. No complaints but he told me to follow up with him a year later and every time I call during office hours I get the exchange. No way to confirm my appt. no way to leave a message.

Friendly office staff but that's about it. Appointments were always rushed, he never wanted to hear my symptoms, and never explained my condition. He was quick to prescribe (incorrectly) medicine rather than running tests and trying to find an accurate diagnosis.

Professional, proficient, qualified, with a sense of humor

I read Dr Reddy's bio and he has plenty of experience BUT I was aghast (once I finally found) his office. That was not a good first impression, I can't remember being in a dr's office this old and outdated. Only 1 restroom for everyone in the lobby check-in and his office attendants (2) were working in the space of a small closet! It's a shame to taint your credentials by operating your office out of a space that should be condemned.

Dr. Reddy treated me with great respect and fully explained my medical condition and treatments to follow. I would recommend him to anyone who asked..
