Dr. Srilakshmi Anamandala, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Ana for the past year. I find her to be personable, attentive to my needs, and truly cares for her patients. I've seen some horrible ratings on this site, but the most recent is over 3 years old. Her speech is very accented, however if you ask her to speak more slowly, she will. I've been a patient of this VA clinic for 9 years and I've seen many of the doctors at this facility. Dr Ana is at te top of my list. And I,m tough to please!

This "Dr." should NOT be practicing! I am not one to write reviews and I'm fairly patient, but something needs to be done about this Doctor. I had an absolutely harrowing experience, actually made me cry. My old Dr. retired and she took her place. She goes beyond rude and bad bedside manner. She literally yelled, laughed at me, said "do you want me to help you or not?" when I asked simple questions. Would not return my calls for two weeks when trying to refill prescription until I was actually without an important prescribed medication. Would have been better off going to the emergency room. She didn't care AT ALL. Should be sued. I am shaking with adrenaline and anger just thinking about it. Glad my kids never had to experience her. Bad Doctor, bad PERSON.

I felt like she was more focused on her physical appearance as a doctor.I could of done my yearly physical over the phone with her. Her staff had me scheduled for referrals in Tampa, and Fort Myers, instead of Sarasota.Took almost 6 months just to find me a physical therapist! She is good looking, but beauty can be skin deep!

She doesn't really listen to you and your problems and is very hard to understand (I'm not racist by any means) She's a nice person but not a very knowlagable doctor!

Prescribes Prozac for EVERYTHING

Very poor manners with patient, she never apologize for her delay time even do make patient to wait 30 to 45 minutes, talks other topic not related with visit. Make patient to schedule 4 time to charge insurance yes for a physical exam and the exam is very poor not as it should be. Overall not a good profecionall Doctor.

She is none caring and doesn't take time to see what things are bothering you. She is very rude and has no bedside manner.

I haven't met a single person that has seen her and NOT been prescribed Prozac. Maybe a nice vacation courtesy of the drug rep? Maybe she owns shares in the drug company. Whatever the reason, everybody gets Prozac, no matter what you go to her for. But try to get her to listen to you if you are in pain. She basically accused me of faking to get pain pills. I asked for a referral to a surgeon, and her response was " Even if you have surgery, I won't give you anything for pain". I think one of us has had a problem in the past, and I KNOW it's not me. HORRIBLE DOCTOR

Very bad experience Not professional, I brought my wife to get a physical and she came out in tears, The doctor accused her of doctor shopping and kept asking her who she was seeing for a doctor since she hadnt been to doctors in 5 years. Her people skills are just horrible. She came out of appointment feeling worse than she felt when she went in.

Not only is the doctor not capable of appropriately caring for her patients, the UMass system is the worst to deal with. Dr Anamandala told me she was giving me a generic inhaler script and when I got to the pharmacy they said they don't come in generic anymore and it would be $65!! She also had no idea what she was doing during an annual gyn exam and never seems to know how to diagnose a condition. Not to mention the billing office never gets anything right. Once they tried to charge me even when my insurance company already paid for the visit. Don't waste your time!
