Dr. Srinivasa Rao Venkatesh, MD

Dr. Venkatesh works miracles and cares about patients. 8 years ago, my sister was on the verge of death She was rushed to the hospital because her roommate found her unconscious on the couch. Dr. Venkatesh oversaw her care. He recommended ECMO treatment to save her life. He staked his reputation and the hospital's reputation on being able to marshall massive amounts of resources--people, money, time, and medicine--to save her life. Her case was hopeless, but Dr. Venkatesh saw hope when most anyone else would only see despair. My sister was in a medically-induced coma for 30 days and lived through MRSA infection of her lungs thanks to Dr. Venkatesh's willingness to administer ECMO. She had 2 RNs in her room 24 hrs/day for a month. Dr. Vankatesh only saw hope. My sister's recovery took 3 months, but she survived. God put an angel on Earth and gave him the gift of healing when he created this man. Dr. Vankatesh will always hold a special place in my heart and a special place… in heaven, as he is a true saint and healer of people. Please know that I owe my sister's life to this man and I am eternally grateful to him for his dedication to humanity and my sister. Thank you Dr. Vankatesh for saving lives and being a stellar example of what the medical profession does each day.

Dr. Venkatesh is an amazingly thorough physician who understands the value of the clinical interview and spending direct time with the patient in order to accurately diagnose and treat the subtleties of pulmonary problems. Within 3 appointments, and the right medical tests, he and I developed a treatment plan (I agreed to) that not only immediately brought me relief from chronic severe asthma but has given me the hope that I can renew my former active lifestyle before the adult onset pulmonary illness. He was definitely the expert but he also drew me into the treatment process, asked me to do some reading about the type of asthma I have and the pros and cons of the medication choices. He worked to get the insurance company to agree to pay for the medications. This is how medicine should be practiced.

He is def an amazing doctor! He's very knowledgeable, kind, courteous, helpful, and runs on time too! His staff is good, and the ladies I interacted with at the front desk were very kind and helpful! He does everything he can to make you comfortable during your appt, and does everything he can to help you to the best of his ability!! Dr. Vankatesh is a doctor other doctors should model themselves after to be sure!! I could see how sincerely he wanted me to get better and he was so considerate about all the health issues I have! I really wish he was one of the doctors I had to see more often!

This doctor is one of the best doctors I have ever been cared for by.He is all business but has a wickedly good sense of humor and uses it to put you at ease. If you need a pulmonary doctor in the NW Houston area he is the one to go to.I met him in an emergency situation when really not at my best and he probably saved my life due to his insistence that I do as he wanted.

Have been in this practice for nearly two years and have yet to find anything to complain about. I have a serious chronic illness and all physicians in the group have provided the utmost in care and in their knowledge of the disease process

Dr S R Venkatesh was my pulmonlogist for 8 years. I am 66 years old, and I can honestly say that he is the finest MD with whom I have been associated as a patient. His impact on my quality of life was significant.
