Horrible experience. Misdiagnosed my groin pain as coming from a labrum tear and pushed me to and unnecessary surgery. Didn’t help the pain and made me much worse. Led to another surgery and 7+ years and counting of chronic pain. My body has never been the same. Terrible bed side manner. I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. Don’t make the same mistake as me in seeing him

Dr. Bharam is an amazing & highly skilled surgeon. He is highly observant and has a great sense of judgment with clear explanation. I am very grateful and thankful for the incredible job he did repairing my torn hip labrum. I can walk pain free and it feels amazing! His outstanding staff is always willing to go the extra mile. Words cannot fully describe how fantastic Dr. Bharam and his staff are. During jiu-jitsu class, my left hamstring completely tore from my hip (retracted 11.8cm). I was in a tremendous amount of pain and discomfort for over two weeks. An orthopedist referred me to Dr. Bharam, so I saw him two weeks after my injury. Dr. Bharam saw how severe my injury was and made time in his busy schedule to reattach my hamstring (via suture anchors) two days later. Although I was a bit worried to undergo my first serious surgery, I knew I was in good hands. I am writing this review two weeks after my surgery and feel so much better. Dr. Bharam referred me to Kevin Kay for my post-operation physical therapy as well which has been going very well. I highly recommend Dr. Bharam to anyone with hip issues. I especially appreciated how quickly and effectively he treated my hip. I am fairly active, so I am glad that he put me back on track to do all the activities I enjoy (e.g. martial arts, dance, strength… training).

I injured myself playing soccer and was told dr Bharam is the best hip specialist in New York (read: world). To my surprise, doctor agreed to see me almost instantly, no typical multi-week wait as it is usually the case with big city specialists. From the first appointment, surgery itself and all post-op period I have encountered nothing but high level professionalism and a very precise attention to details. He doesnt just follow the regular protocol, he is actually very involved with treatment. He analyzes how you walk, doesnt rush with the exams, takes time to talk to you. Listens. What is also important - he hears you too. My objective wasnt to just start walking and working again, I wanted to play sports again. And when I told him that, it had became one of his objectives too. What I also felt while being a patient of dr Bharam is if I was a celebrity athlete or a NASA pilot. I felt that I am not just another patient on the schedule, but I am the patient doctor is having a… mission to treat and recover. And for that, all I could to thank him - is to leave this short review for others to know. His attitude to my treatment made me to take it more serious too, and recover smoother and faster. Ps. His surgery assistant Dahae definitely deserves a word too. Aside from sweetest voice over the phone, she will spend hours and walk miles to get you scheduled and ready for the surgery. What a grade!

After 3 MRI’s on Long Island, I finally came back to Dr Bharam whom helped me with stem cell injections for hamstring tears several years ago. He identified the source of my pain and is providing a solution. I highly recommend Dr Bharam for Hip Preservation!!

Dr Bharam performed a recent hip arthroscopy on me and the experience was exceptionally positive from start to finish! The scheduling of my initial consultation, pre-op imaging and the the surgery itself was extremely timely; Dr Bharam was very patient, clear and thorough with his explanation of my medical issues and the plans to correct them; his office staff (thank you, Dahae and Lauren!) were so helpful with regard to sorting out insurance and prescription issues, providing me with detailed pre- and post-op information, and addressing my myriad questions; the procedure itself went very smoothly; and the post-op experience has paralleled the expectations that Dr Bharam set with me. Patients are in MOST EXCELLENT hands with Dr Bharam and his kind and capable team - I wish there were more than five stars to give them!

Because of Dr. Bharam i am now feeling like my old self. I didn’t even know what a labral was a year ago! Dr. Bharam is a very caring and understanding Doctor and human being. He made me feel very comfortable and listed to me when i spoke. Thank goodness for Dr. Bharam! I would highly recommend him to all!!

I’m not a professional or collegiate athlete. But I am an older tennis player, ski instructor and recreational long distance runner. I tore one of my groin muscles during a tennis match. Having gone through orthopedic checks and MRI’s I started looking at options (traditionally defined as rest and rehab...getting a person back to roughly 70% particularly for a person of my age). Dr. Bharam was recommended by both a fellow tennis player and my Orthopaedist. He was described as a surgeon whose knowledge about injuries of this type is second to none. Having met with him I quickly realized I was in the right place as an approach to get me back on the court and snow at 100%. He, his caring and committed team did not disappoint; setting and managing my expectations every step of the way; even integrating the physical therapy team into the post operative process (case in point.. that P.T. team were required to provide weekly updates to the doctor something only pro athletes experience). It’s… now 6 months since my surgery. I’m running and hitting tennis balls in advance of my return to match play, and heading back to the ski slopes with no pain or limitations. And I’ll be continuing to check in with Dr. Bharam. Long story short.... a great experience with happy ending with the help of an extraordinary doctor. Thank you Dr. Bharam.

Dr. Bharam provided a top-notch medical experience from diagnosis, to surgery, to post operative recovery to continued follow ups. My quality of life has improved ten fold. Dr. Bharam was recommended by my spine surgeon for his skill in diagnostics as well as with the knife. Dr. Bharam calmly and methodically proceeded with testing to arrive at the correct diagnosis. And when it was determined that the source of my pain was a CAM and pincer impingement with a labral tear, my subsequent surgery was uneventful in the best of ways. My diligence with PT combined with Dr. Bharams surgical skill has enabled me to resume my life at an earlier timetable than I would have imagined. I have nothing but praise and thanks for my recovery.
