Lacks empathy. Actually laughed when I told her a personal issue I was having. I’ve seen batter psychiatrists who actually take insurance.

I saw Dr. Nath a few times before finding someone that I was more comfortable talking too. She is definitely knowledgeable with medications but not "bedside manner".

Dr. Nath treated my adolescent daughter for anxiety for 2 years before it became clear that she didn't have any experience with blended families. She was unable to handle situations with 2 households and multiple parents. She became overwhelmed with stepparent situations and frankly it seemed that she lacked real world experience in treating teens with divorced parents. I didn't feel confident in her abilities to diagnose problems and manage conflict. Everything about her practice is set up to be convenient for her and not her patients. Be sure to follow the rules when leaving a phone message or she charges a $75 fee to return your call. It goes on and on. When I challenged her on some of her practices, she discharged my daughter from her practice without cause and would not return my phone calls. I recommend you find a medical doctor (not a D.O.) who is skilled in adolescent psychiatry to treat your teen. Dr. Nath has a lot to learn about putting her patients first.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nath for almost 5 years now. My experience has been much different with Dr. Nath than it has been with other psychiatrists in the valley. Before starting or stopping medications, she makes sure to explain why she is doing that and asks me if I have any concerns. Other doctors I have been to tend to not care as much and have switched me from medication to medication without fully informing me why. I am thankful to have a psychiatrist like Dr. Nath who is always willing to listen and explain to me exactly what everything is for. The doctors I have gone to before have just plain and simple over-medicated me which did more harm than good. When I have concerns about a medication, she hears me out and tells me the pros and cons. I really respect that because most psychiatrists leave you out of your own treatment plan by not telling you in plain English what the benefits and risks will be. Also, she usually calls to remind you of your appointments a few days in… advance which is awesome if you tend to be forgetful. If you would like a psychiatrist that listens to you and your concerns, provides practical treatment while treating you with respect and honesty, I would I highly recommend Dr. Nath.

Dr. Nath has been my Psychiatrist for over two years now. Her clinical knowledge is excellent and she goes out of her way to make sure I fully understand the medications we're employing in concert with my therapist and how they may have an impact on me. She even calls me a couple days before every appointment to make sure I remember to come in since I'm terrible about remembering appointments.
