Dr. Stanley Robert Askin, MD

This guy is absolutely terrible. Dr Askin is concerned about one and one thing only. How much money he can make from the insurance companies. Whatever the insurance comp[any wants to hear he will appease the insurance companies to assure him business from said companies. He is absolutely not concerned about you as patient. And you can take that to the bank DO NOT USE THIS self-serving quack

I only went to see this crackpot because I was required to by my insurance company who scheduled an independent assessment. He had no knowledge of my history or injuries and had not read my file. He was completely unprepared. Not only was the assessment a joke, it was incomplete. I came in with unrelated injuries and during the assessment he asked me to remove my walking boot so he could further assess me. I had explained twice that I had torn my Achilles’ tendon. He then proceeded to whack my Achilles’ tendon with his reflex hammer. It was excruciating! 24 hours later it is still throbbing with sharp intermittent pain. Beware!!!

Dr. Askin makes money by ruining lives. I cannot move my left wrist and he claims that I have no ongoing medical problems and can return to work. I have tried to work and cannot because of my horrible condition that has required two surgeries. I do not know how he sleeps at night. He works for insurance companies because he is a sham doctor. He has blatantly violated his oath to first do no harm.

Makes most of his money by saying whatever the insurance companies tell him to say.

Don't gamble with your life!

His review was quick, uniformed, and peppered with educational comments about how little medicine actually CAN do for you. All in all it was very hard to believe he was INDEPENDENT as suggested by the Independent Medical Examination.

It is never a pleasure to have to visit a doctor due to an injury. However, after almost losing my left thumb at work, Dr Askin was my savior. His follow up care was excellent as well. I've had fantastic results and would gladly recommend him to anyone that finds themselves in the unfortunate situation that I was in.

I felt compelled to comment on Dr. Askin after my recent visit to his office. I was very nervous because I was told I would need surgery and was referred to him (i was told he is the best hand surgeon in town). Dr. Askin was extremely professional and courteous and was able to calm my nerves by providing me with all the information needed regarding my injury.I ended up having the surgery and things went great. The doc followed up and showed genuine concern for my well being. I hope that I never get hurt again, but if I do, I know where I'm going.
