I was diagnosed with stage 4 eseophageal cancer with a 5 year survivor rate of 6-10%. After three months of chemo according to my cea levels (cancer markers in the blood) and a petscan there is no trace of cancer. He has given me the ultimate gift-LIFE and every day is a celebration.

Dr. Shinke saved my life. I was not wanting conventional treatment of surgery and drip chemo. I was told to call hospice, that I would die in 3 months. Thru prayer, I was sent to Dr. Shinke who not only had a plan for me not to do what I did not want, his regiment was so successful, I went into remission in one year. It is now over a year I am in remission. Thank you Dr. Shinke and your staff.

I am a 43 year old breast cancer survivor and thanks to Dr Schinke and his staff. I remember how afraid I was on my first visit, but Dr Schinke had every confidence that i would do well and get through this. He was always there to answer my questions and the nurses were helpful too. He was very informative when we made my treatment decision and even offered medical study results to back up his plan. I will always be grateful with him for his care and concern during a most difficult time for me and my family. I would recommend him to any one of my family or friends!!!

I would have given him no stars if it would let me. I'm stage 4 breast cancer with bone mets. This doctor put me on zometa after a spinal compression. Over the months, I lost a lot of weight and was having lots of pain in my joints and legs. I read this could be a side effect from zometa. Dr. Schinke wouldn't listen to me and said my cancer was spreading. He got me a bone scan and it took him a month to get around to read it. In the mean time, I became anorexic and serverly dehydrated. From just a guess, he said I needed to start chemo and no more hormone therapy because it wasn't working. By December, I was so sick and couldn't eat and was throwing up water for days. Dr. Schinke said it was the cancer and I was in my "final stages". I asked if my bone scan was ever read. He looked at my chart and looked surprised. My cancer hasn't grown since last summer. He got up and I can here him tell a nurse not to give me zometa and that I was reacting to it. He never came back in… the room to say "sorry" or read my blood labs. He wouldn't even look at me. I left feeling numb. I was just told I was dying, I'm a single mom to two boys and young. He was also not supportive in natural alternative therapies. I was going to sue him for malpractice but the stress is just too much. He's a bad doctor that is closed minded and diagnosed me based a guess!!
