Dr. Stanley Joseph Skoczylas

Had an absolutely awful experience with him that affected my life. He missed a very large tumor on my ovary when I was 26 years old. Thank God that when it was finally discovered it was not too advanced. But it was cancer. I had to have the mass and ovary removed and was subjected to a very painful surgery and recovery. The worst part is that he blamed me and never apologized for the situation. I was in his office 6 months before it was discovered and by the time it was removed it was almost the size of a cantaloupe. Everyone makes mistakes, but I would've been able to accept it more if he was apologetic or even sensitive.

He knows what he is doing, but can be condescending.

Old school, very experienced.Not many hi-tek "toys", just solid knowledge and medical skills.

Dr. Skoczylas is the best doctor there is. He is extremely knowledgeable and cares deeply for his patient. He is not quick to write a prescription for an aliment which he believes could be cured with a lifestyle change, which is something I really respect. However if he does think medication is truly needed he will be the first person to suggest it. He is frank but respectful with his patients and really cares for them, and although sometimes the waits to see him are longer than expected it is only because he does give his patients his undivided attention. I can not say enough good things about this wonderful doctor

I have a bad feeling. During my labor, he showed up late, I had a loss the second time, he did not know pregnancy was wrong, I feel I have to beg him to do stuff, I feel he does not listen to my questions and I still go to him, I started to regret my decision of going back to him. I am checking with other doctor to validate what he does, but I don't know how long or when I can switch to another doctor.

He is very kind and gentle. He takes his time to talk to you and is very honest about your care. He paysattention to things and sends little cards to remind you about appointments and when you have paps done he sends you the results on a post card that is in a sealed envelope so no one knows what it is about. Very kind women in the office, a small but cozy waiting room with magazines and a tv, and decent parking.

I don't want to even see him after my labor!!!!!
