Dr. Stavonnie Sherilazel Patterson, MD

Even though there is a wait to see her unless it’s an emergency, I will wait. She has been excellent in her care of my skin and her and her staff are amazing and have excellent communication and empathy skills. Truly genuine.

Called multiple times only to get an assistant that was no help at all. I wanted to speak to the doctor herself and only got Ariana who was disrespectful and made it very clear that I was not important and pushed my issues off to her manager. She should not work there.

I waited 8 months to see Dr. Patterson at the Arlington Heights location for a potential serious skin issue and just got a call 2 weeks prior to my appointment and they cancel it, this is ridiculous!

Seems to me she knows little about dermatology because she doesn't even touch a patients face. She gives you 10 minutes each office visit. If you call with a concern, she makes you come in. No matter how bad the side effects you are suffering from her horrible, toxic prescription medication, she just keeps saying to STAY on the medication. It appears she has no other tools in her bag of tricks. I wonder if she gets paid per prescription? It's almost as if shes a pharmaceutical sales rep in a doctors lab coat.

I had a long standing appointment. I made it for a first appointment, on a Saturday morning.... because last appointment they made me wait over 1 hour. - So... you plan ahead, right? Today their office called and cancelled my appointment ( 9 days prior ) and Ashley (rude,) offered me only times when I am working. The whole reason I scheduled 1 year in advance was to not miss work for my appointments. She gave no kindness to me - just kept repeating that they are "cancelling my appointment and that the doctor would not accommodate me." I work in medical - this is was an embarrassment to medical.

Office staff is rude.

I was referred to Dr Patterson and had to wait 4 months to see her. I arrived 11 minutes late due to accident on the way in and also due to their construction in parking lot had to park in the back, I was late 11 mins. When I arrived, there was no one waiting in the lobby and the staff said that I was late and she was not going to see me. I explained the incident and apologize and said that I would wait for the next person to see her . They said no and I then asked for the Mgr. Elizabeth Walsh. She was rude and unforgiving and said she didn't care what the excuse was that I was late and I should leave. She said to make another appointment to see the Dr. I mentioned to her that when I arrived there was no one waiting and asked her if they took the next appointment, I would wait until she was done. She said she would not answer that and that she didn't care. She did not have an compassion for a patient who needed to see the Dr. How many times have patients waited to see a Dr… (from 20mins -1 hr)and now I arrive 11 minutes late and they refuse to see a patient that has a medical need. Are they not suppose to help patients in need. The Mgr. did not care and was rude and all she said was you were not here on time. I cannot comment on the DR but I would avoid this office and go elsewhere. Next time patients go to their appointment, should they leave the office if the Dr. does not take them within 11 mins? I needed a second opinion due to issues I have and now I have to go somewhere else and hope it is not too late. Please reconsider this practice.

Dr. Patterson could not be more compassionate knowledgeable and caring. My experience was wonderful. Thank you.

Dr Patterson is very personable and extremely thorough. I will highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

Dr Patterson is wonderful. Friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the staff working the front desk are consistently rude. If you are 2 minutes late for an appointment, they will tell you that you may not be able to see the doctor, and will then wait roughly an hour. Made even worse by having to schedule any appointment several months out. Desk staff will make you feel like you are an inconvenience for trying to see the doctor. Will not be back.
