Dr. Stefan Zora, MD

M 13 yr old son saw him for about a year. We really didn't feel "the love" from him and felt very judged as parents when an incident occurred with our son. We got sick of the critical eye thing and when my son said he really wasn't get much out of the sessions, we only continued with his very caring, very non-judgemental therapist and let the pediatrician do the meds. Dr Zora might be right for some, but I would never recommend him. And prepare to feel bad about going to pick up the monthly ADHD prescription. When my son's therapist said something about "Why don't you ask Dr. Zora about ... when you pick up his prescription?", I had to say: he won't say boo to you or answer a single, easy question if he's not on the clock. Very uncaring person. Maybe burned out on his job and his interactions reflect that.

I find him to have poor bedside manner. After a few months , i quickly learned he must be one of only docs around...he hates being challenged about diagnosis and meds not from just his clients but from other doctors. Bottom line... did not help at all and ultimately acted like a child when he didn't like another doctors input. Hung up on me, won't see me and/or refill my prescriptions. Completely unprofessional. Stay away -- oh and he charges for every breadth!

Found him to be aloof and somewhat snobby.Gives one the sense he thinks he is better than you.

I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Zora for my son. He has been very caring and professional and gentle and has made my son feel at ease in his office. He also has been wonderful about returning my calls (even late at night) when I have needed advise. Dr. Zora takes the time to get to know his patient and his family. I would highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of his since 1989 and he is amazing- caring, compassionate and an EXCELLENT psychiatrist.
