If I ever had another issue I would see no one but her.

Dr. Schluender is an amazing surgeon. She takes the time to listen, explains thoroughly the surgery, and she welcomes the patients questions and concerns. Dr. Schluender is a top surgeon.

I'm 38 years old and take good care of my body with diet and exercise. However, I ended up with a painful fistula and I was referred to a colorectal surgeon. Fortunately I was referred to Dr. Schluender and from the very beginning made me feel at ease with it all. She spent the time to explain everything to me (multiple times) so that I could understand the surgery that was needed. Although this fistula was more complicated (found out during surgery it went thru both muscles), her strategy allowed for a single surgery and it worked. The pain after the surgery was not near what I thought it would be (managed by meds). During every visit with her, she always reassured me, telling me she wasn't worried about it. Her confidence really helped me. Overall she is a sweetheart and I'm just impressed with her abilities to fix people with such complicated issues. Her assistants were always super friendly to me as well. I haven't been to a better doctor than Dr. Schluender!

Dr schluender is a fantastic doctor. My appointment with her was very informative. The check in people can be extremely rude as well as the woman named Lori, who takes payments.

I cannot say enough superlatives about Dr. Schluender. If you are in need of a colon/rectal surgeon do not hesitate to make an appointment with the best. She always made me feel at ease through my scary situation and you can tell that she really cares.

Recently underwent robotic-assisted laparoscopic right colonectomy removing twelve inches of large colon plus appendix. Following the enhanced surgical recovery program aggressively, I walked down the hall two hours after surgery and walked out of the hospital two days post operation. Scars (five) were able to be covered by band aids. Anesthesia went well and effects of pain medication were minimal due to NOT using opiates. Well organized pre- and post-op instructions, specific medications and nutrition, and excellent nursing care contributed to rapid recovery.

She's great! She was very accurate when she explain to me everything that was going to happen after the surgery. She always explained everything very clear to me and took the time to respond all my questions.

What a delightful individual to deal with during not a difficult and worrisome period. Dr Schluender is very knowledgeable and very careful with planning surgeries. Her compassion is evident and her bedside manner is exceptional.

God for bid anyone should need her i highly recommend her. Wish i could adopt her as a sister. definitely deserves 5 stars would give her 10 if i could.
