Dr. Stella Ilyayeva, MD

A week ago, I came to the first appointment with Dr. Stella Ilyayeva on time at her medical office in Rego Park. After waiting for almost two hours in the lobby, I iquired with the front desk staff what caused such a long delay, to which the receptionist said, “You are next.” A short while thereafter, while I could not wait any longer and was running late for some other obligation, I had no other choice but to reschedule the appointment for a later date. So, yesterday, June 10, I reported to Dr. Ilyayeva’s office at the scheduled time, 2:30 p.m. And almost the same story unfolded again: an hour and a half later, after 4:00 p.m., when I asked the same receptionist how else long I had to wait to be called in to be seen by the doctor, she mumbled something vaguely incoherent about the doctor’s assistants and condescendingly repeated her standard phrase: “You are next.” Honestly, that whole bizarre situation started reminding me the “Groundhog Day” movie plot. By that time, I had had… enough of this remarkable service, thus I cancelled the appointment altogether and made up my mind not to seek service at Dr. Ilyayeva’s office ever again and look for another endocrinologist’s service.

One of the receptionist is very lazy and she is wasting time by talking by known person and doesn’t take care or doesn’t make entry patients name on time in the system.

The doctor is mediocre but professional. She takes an extremely long time with her patients. The staff and the overall experience is horrible. The waiting time is horrendous. You will wait for hours eventhough it's by appointment only. Very rude staff.

I am so thankful for Dr. Ilyayeva treating my husband's diabetes. The blood sugar was under control. I am so disappointed with the recent PA who saw him. She was not informative at all. The visit was not what I expected, blood work was taken and I ask her if I can just call her to review the blood result over the phone. She said she has to see the patient again. Why didn't she do all the assessment when we were there during the visit, so we don't have to waste our time and pay another co-payment. Other PAs like MARIA was better. She gave us the plan what to do even without the blood result. Then when the result is in, we can just implement the plan. The recent PA who saw us was not even informative, she needs more education on how to treat patients.

Went in for a thyroid nodule check. Was seen by a first year resident who was clueless. Dr. Stella arrived late to the office and the staff was clearly annoyed by it. Eventually she came in and said 3 words to me but reprimanded the resident harshly the entire time. I did not get any information just an appt for 4 weeks later to redo a sonogram that was already done. I chose to go to a different doctor.

If you care about your LIFE do not go here. Do not allow doctors like this near your Loved ones. Try a Holistic doctor before going to these people that will assist you to the grave as long as they get paid !!!!!!!!!

Be prepared to WAIT however it's worth it because of the attention you receive. Office staff need some improvement.

At least 1 hour wait time but excellent doctor.

I am a new patient of this office, the doctor seems nice but the amount she spent with you is usually short (like 5 - 10 mins). Their receptionist is notorious for their attitude. The first time I called and the receptionist said "we did not take appointment." So, I walked in and have waited for 3 hours. The second time I made an appointment at 10:15am but is now waiting at their office. It has been more than 1 hour.
