Horrible surgeon infected me and acted like it was my fault Don't use the surgeon it's like having your grandfather perform a surgery on you no compassion no caring after they told me my infection was clear 2 years later I got a lump on my throat sure enough it's infection from the front of my neck all the way back to my plates Dr Lange retired from his other practice because he met so many other people up he had to go start somewhere new in Stanford shame on you Dr Lang

Dr. Lang Performed a laminectomy on my lower spine approximately seven weeks ago. This was as a result of severe nerve pressure on my spine which was causing extreme pain where I could not stand for more than three minutes. I had immediate relief after the surgery. I am now performing all my normal daily activities without pain. Dr. Lang was extremely thorough in explaining the procedure and what to expect after the surgery. His staff Patty and especially Elaine were extremely helpful in coordinating all of the preop procedures and requirements.

Dr. Lange in tandem with Dr. Gerard Becker did fusion surgery on my back two months ago. I didn't know what to expect, because people had told me it was going to be a long and painful recovery. Yes, there was pain, but it did get better sooner than I expected. When I saw Dr. Lange's PA two weeks after surgery, she was extremely pleased with the healing of my incisions. I am now driving and doing many of the activities I usually do. I am extremely pleased with Dr. Lange and highly recommend him.

I saw Dr. Lange, because I cannot get interventional radiology for lumbar pain without a referral from a neurosurgeon. After a perfunctory exam by his PA, I spent about a minute with Dr. Lange. I asked him for a referral to Jefferson Radiology, which was the purpose of my visit. Initially he agreed. Subsequently, he said he will only refer me to one of the two physiatrists in his medical practice group. I have been advised against seeing the physiatrists, and Jefferson was highly recommended by one of my healthcare practitioners. One of his office staff was quite rude and told me that if I want a referral to Jefferson, I will have to go to a different neurosurgeon! It surely is unethical, self-serving, and perhaps illegal to refuse a patient referral to the facility of the patient's choice.

Dr Lange operated on my lower lumbar spine in May of 2017 It was a 5 hour procedure. He removed scare tissues, bone spurs, and arthritis before he fused 2 vertebraes. I am finally free of constant pain after many years.

I havent seen him once since surgery 4 months ago doesnt much care for rehab before going to work. Just another dollar sign for doc Lange. No bedside manor because he hasn't been near my bed side. Also when asked why he could not see me he said he didn't have time to see everyone. Like I said just a number not a patient. Do your research and find a better guy than this. excellent surgeon. double spinal fusion went very well. definitely selected the right surgeon. would recommend Dr. Lange .

I have had numerous spinal surgeries...and need a more complex surgery this time around...So I searched for a new surgeon....I found Dr. Lange. I have many health issues, which he took his time considering and care with before, during, and after surgery....my scars are very minimal and he personally has a terrific bedside manner as does his staff!!!

Back in 1999 Dr. Lange was my 2nd opinion. I was in awful shape with the lower back pain L-5 L-4, I would cry just to move. My Doctor (we will call him Dr X) did a decompress taking out a small bone that was pushing out spinal cord. that surgery lasted 6 months, Doctor X said he could do nothing else for me. So I went to Dr. Lange he did surgery he shaved all the bone spurs and removed all the scar tissue and removed the bone on the spinal cord. I was in the Hospital 2 days then next day I had PT to get me moving was in some pain but not as much as I was in before. When I was putting on my socks it was amazing I could feel my feet and legs. Dr. Stephen C Lange is the Best! Caring! And knows what he is doing! Thank you very much! Dr Lange!
