Stephanie Acierno, MD

Dr. Acierno was the lead surgeon on a complicated surgery done within the first 12 hours of my child’s life. She did a great job explaining what needed to be done and then doing it. We definitely knew our hours-old baby was in good hands and she did an amazing job!

Back in 2015 I asked her to fix my daughters reflux. She was not even maybe a year old. Diagnosed failure to thrive. Threw up everything i gave her. I took lactation advice/ therapy. Tried lactose intolerant formula and my daughter continued to vomit everything I gave her. I tried everything. Finally my daughter was hospitalized as failure to thrive. Acierno thought I just wanted my daughter to have hiatal hernia repair and nissen fundoplication surgery just for fun. I did all their tests, jumped through all their hoops and my daughter ended up having THE WORST hiatal hernia she had ever seen. DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN. YOUR CHILDS LIFE MEANS SO MUCH MORE.

I found her to be rude,difficult to understand, and very uncaring. Dr. Acierno did not show any concern for a very ill little girl. Every time we saw her, she seemed to be in a terrible hurry and had no time for our concerns! She did not seem to be able to answer our questions or refer us to someone who could. I found her bedside manner horrible and unsympathetic. Narcissistic personality. Rude. Short and unreasonable. She may be a surgeon, but she is completely without manners or social decorum. She has an extremely high opinion of herself...too bad no one else in her office seemed to!
