Dr. Stephanie Bruce is the absolute best physician I have ever had.

Dr. Bruce is hands down the best provider. She always shows empathy and compassion. And she has the unbelievable ability to talk through and listen to my concerns ALWAYS!

I was really excited to see Dr. Bruce because she supposedly supported VBACs. From the first visit I feel like she was trying to make me fearful of the 1% chance that something could go wrong. She also made me feel selfish and like I was not doing what was in the best interest of my baby. She also told me that this baby would be larger than my first which was 9lbs. I know I probably frustrated her because I would not be persuaded away from the VBAC. I was really too far along to try and find another doctor. I went into labor and went to the hospital. The first time I saw her I was 6cm dialted. Her words to me was that I was not "really doing much" ... In a very discouraging tone. I knew what God had placed in my heart and that I could do this so I continued on. She never came back again until I was crowning. They made me hold the baby there for 20 mins. She walked in and told the nurses to do some practice pushing because "she's not going to be a good pusher". I was so… crushed but determined. Five minutes later the nurses frantically urged her back in letting her know that the baby was coming. She was so not happy or excited. I pushed for 20minutes and delivered a beautiful and healthy baby 7lb baby girl. She never came ever again... No check. No wishing us well nothing. I just could not believe how she acted towards me. I know she may have honestly had a concern, but at some point you have to trust my instincts and respect that it is my body.

I will never go back to this disrespectful doctor. I have no ideal how she has any patients. I waited 2 hours for this person and finally got up and left. She was there the whole time. Her staff never came to explain why the wait. I would never recommend her to anyone. I hope she get sued somewhere down the road.
