Summary
I come from a long line of women who were nurses. I greatly admired their compassion and loved to hear their caregiving stories. I embarked on a career in nursing fueled by a profound desire to make a positive impact on people's lives by alleviating their suffering and promoting their well-being. Early in my nursing career I found that I desired to provide my patients with a higher level of care so I furthered my education and became a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife. That is a choice that I have never regretted. My passion for science, coupled with a genuine empathy for the challenges people face, fuels my dedication to providing compassionate care and seeking innovative solutions.I have provided care that has focused on women since 1990 and that desire has never wavered. The route by which I provided that care has changed a few times to fit my family's needs. I am so very pleased to return to the midwifery role once more and be able to serve the …community that I have been a part of since 2002. Empathy is the cornerstone of my philosophy of patient care. I believe that each individual deserves not only the best medical treatment, but also the compassion, understanding, and respect that contribute to their well-being. By truly listening to my patients, considering their unique backgrounds and perspectives, and involving them in their healthcare journey, I aim to create a therapeutic partnership built on trust. This patient-centered approach not only enhances medical outcomes but also fosters a sense of empowerment and dignity, promoting a healthier and more fulfilling life for those I have the privilege to serve.
