Dr. Mick gave me a new aortic valve with a “mini sternotomy” four weeks ago, so my breastbone was only partially cut, sparing me immense amounts of pain and recovery time. If the measure of a physician's activity is whether a patient would refer a relative or a friend to a physician's care, I would refer a friend or relative to Dr Mick's care without reservation. Dr Mick repaired a mitral valve prolapse robotically in my case in December 2024. My experience with Dr Mick is that she is a focused professional who is thinking and working all of the time. She is intellectually sharp and experienced and I expect she meets the unexpected ably. She is readily available to her patients post-surgery in the hospital. She is not dogmatic and is able to change her approach as new data comes in. She treats her patients as adults who are as rational and reasonable as she is. She also has a very good team that keeps track of her patients as they prepare for surgery and as they recover from surgery. The very good team is part of the Dr Mick package, which is a good thing. They are upbeat, interested in the patient's condition, and interested in changing course when… necessary for the sake of a good outcome. I was very impressed by her presence and ability and the competence of her team.

I met with Dr. Mick for the first time to discuss my potential for a Robotic Mitral Valve repair. She was very clear in our discussion and completely honest with me. She exemplified a warmth and caring that that was genuine and unique. It was the perfect match for me as well as my wife. She is very real, and she delivers on her promises . I met with Dr. Stephanie Mick for my Robotic Assisted Mitral Valve Repair consultation and immediately felt a connection with her because of her professionalism and wonderful personality. Dr. Stephanie L. Mick perform my CABG when I was admitted to Weill Cornell Medical Center. My procedure was a difficult one specially working on the 2nd vein she needed to work on.
