Dr. Stephanie Morris, MD

Over two years ago Dr Morris told me I needed a hysterectomy to remove a benign polyp and benign fibroid. She really had no valid reason for removing the overies nor the polyp or fibroid except for quoting a statistic that I had a 1 to 2 percent risk of cancer in the future. Her scare tactic did not work. I have since seen a GYN at the same hospital and been told I don’t need a hysterectomy. She never even went through the risks of surgery nor the downside of long term medical conditions caused by the surgery but sent me straight to her medical assistant to schedule the surgery 3 weeks out. She must have had a slow schedule and was trying to fill it up. So glad I cancelled the unnecessary surgery.

She said she strongly recommended I have a hysterectomy but my only issue was a polyp in the uterine lining and a fibroid. She said I had a 1 to 2% chance of cancer and that’s what her argument was for doing a hysterectomy. The uterus is a muscle and is attached to all kinds of connective tissue and has a mass of blood supply interconnecting nerve endings. If I had everything removed that had a 1-2 percent chance of cancer I wouldn’t have anything left . I talked her down to just removing the fibroid and the polyp and I scheduled the surgery however she never ever went over any surgical complications. I canceled the surgery because I didn’t trust having a minor surgery was so in that want to do major surgery. She didn’t show any affect during the 15 minute office visit and her overzealousness to take out the entire uterus made me concerned about her. After doing research I found out that a lot of women have all kinds of complications after hysterectomies such as bladder and bowel… issues, nerve pain and numerous other issues— not to mention all the complications that can arise during the surgery. I had a minimally invasive outpatient procedure performed by Dr. Morris two weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with the results. She was very thorough and patient in explaining the procedure and I felt very comfortable going in, in spite of it being considered major surgery. The recovery process went well and the follow up was thorough. Highly recommend Dr. Morris and her staff.

Dr. Stephanie Morris is great. She started with the minimally invasive and finally the surgery where she did a stellar job. She was patient, professional and very good at what she does. She is gifted and very keen to deliver the best results possible. May God bless her.

Dr. Morris is very friendly and approachable. She provides with various alternate solutions before ending up with surgery. She answers all your queries with great patience. Her team took great care during my laparoscopy. When i woke up from surgery, i find Dr. Morris standing right next to me and taking care of. What more would i expect? Her diagnosis was accurate even before the surgery

Dr Morris and her team exceeded all my expectations. She really listened to my conerns and explained all the options to me. I was told by other doctors I was not a candidate for laparosocpic surgery, but Dr. Morris was able to do my surgery laparoscopically. I was back to my normal actvities about 1 week after my hysterectomy! Dr Morris is an excellent docor and surgeon!

I met her for the first time and found her approachable and compassionate. for the first time i found Doctor being able to relate to your emotions and connect with you to understand you well and make you comfortable. this was my first surgery and she and her staff took excellent care. She is expert in her area and goes extra mile to help patient to treat. I will highly recommend anybody to go to her.
