Dr. Stephanie Anne Pierson, MD

I had a very disappointing visit with Dr. Stephanie Pierson at TriHealth. When I mentioned that my embryo was low mosaic—a basic IVF term explained by both my clinic and genetic counselor—she said she had no idea what that meant. She also repeatedly told me NIPT testing was unnecessary, even though it was specifically recommended for my case, and I had to argue just to get it ordered. During the ultrasound, she couldn’t provide my baby’s heart rate, saying she “can’t do that” with the equipment, which was surprising and didn’t inspire confidence. She also dismissed my nausea and low blood sugar concerns with overly simple advice. Overall, I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and uneasy about the quality of care. I would not feel comfortable continuing prenatal care or delivery with her.

In short, Dr. Pierson also made me feel like an idiot but also kind of gaslighted me. I confronted her about her being dismissive of my questions in the previous appointment and she basically indicated that asking questions to inform myself about my options was me not able to deal with birth trauma from my first birth. It was very inappropriate. I can tell she has a good heart, but also I think her own trauma clouds her ability to be good to patients. I hope I don’t have to find out whether she is a good doctor for delivery… would rather never see her again and even wondering about switching groups…

Not a fan. I feel like I’m bothering her every time I go in (annually). She’s also quick to schedule a surgery or procedure without getting a diagnosis/test results back first “just in case”. Time to find a new physician.

I do not recommend dr Pierson at all. She seems to be always in a hurry, don’t care about the questions you have (she makes you feel dumb for asking questions). She probably doesn’t even read our medical records. You are in and out of the room within 5min.

I usually see the midwives and I love them they are great I had to see doctor Pierson one I thought she was rude and seemed like she was in a hurry. I had to talk to her once when she was on call she was rude and insensitive I did not feel like she cared at all about me or my unborn baby.

I have had appointments with all of the doctors at Seven Hills and loved all of them, except Dr. Pierson. She is rude and makes patients feel ignorant for asking questions. As a first time mother, it is expected that I would have questions and should not feel like I am burdening my doctor by asking.

Has awful bedside manners. Treats you like your stupid
