Dr. Stephen Matthew Becker, MD

After battling a long battle with triple negative breast cancer I went to Dr Stephen Becker for reconstruction. He was referred to me by someone who had cosmetic surgery done to them (maybe he’s better at that). Unfortunately I did not allow my instinct to direct me to get away from him soon enough. Dr Becker was arrogant and insulting. He used expanders that were “Old School” and appeared that he was not knowledgeable of the latest and greatest stuff that newer drs are using. His work was unsatisfactory and I had to go to another PS to correct the mess he made. This delayed me finalizing my cancer journey by almost a year. I’m writing this review to my Pink Sisters because I understand what you’ve been through and I don’t want you to have to experience what I went through.

Dr Becker does not listen. He interrupts and is defensive. He is not sympathetic to a patients feelings and is dismissive when asking questions. He refused to provide any photos of the procedure he was suggesting. A horrible experience!!

My son had the BEST experience with Dr. Becker. The staff is so nice and friendly and treated him with the utmost respect. My son is underage and felt like he was the only one that Dr. Becker was talking to. He took the time to explain everything and where my son could understand it. I would definitley recommend people to him.

Did not fully explain procedure or what to expect afterwards. Unsatisfactory follow-up. Certainly not pleased with final results.

Dr. Becker was so thorough and patient with me. He explained everything step by step and answered all of my questions. His nurse practitioner and nurses were beyond amazing. I had a total of 3 surgeries following my breast cancer diagnosis/treatment. I have developed relationships I will keep for a lifetime. Dr. Becker restored my confidence after a bilateral mastectomy and I am proud of my new normal!

Dr. Becker did an absolute amazing job on my chest! I’m transgender and I was extremely cautious when it came to picking out a great surgeon. He is definitely a perfectionist and he had kept my wife and mom in contact every hour or so during surgery. Him and his team and staff were amazing and super friendly!

Breast reconstruction after a bilateral mastectomy due to cancer was a disaster with Dr. Becker, and he offered no solution whatsoever. Follow up was non-existent and resolving the situation with a different PS cost me thousands. No explanation for why one of the surgeries was a complete failure and no offer to fix the problems that arose from extensive scar tissue because inadequate materials were used. I had to completely start over with reconstruction!

I have not received my quote on my surgery that I wanted done.

Dr. Becker is a true gem of a person. He is a gift to women. Talented, kind and humble. Thank you!
