Dr. Stephen Frederick Brandt, MD

Dr. Brandt never fails to listen carefully, answer all questions and is genuinely caring. I feel comfortable in trusting him with my care. Would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

He doe not like the patient to ask him any questions.

Dr Brandt is a wonderful doctor who truly cares about his patients!

The Emory Clinic is great. Dr. Brandt seems uncomfortable with people. Patients should not expect an interest in them as a whole person...you are a condition and Dr. Brandt knows best. His point of reference is what he has learned, or can look up in an academic resource. He is probably not a creative thinker or problem solver. He issues directives based on his assessment of traditional resources, but most likely never develops a treatment plan based on the whole patient. He likely finds questioning by a patient incredulous. Sad. He just has no interpersonal skills in practicing his profession. His attempts at polite behavior are mechanical protocol. He would do well secreted in a lab, with no people contact, save underlings who do his bidding.

Dr. Brandt is very impersonal. He spends little time in the room listening and orders tests without explaining why. ie I am ordering an ultrasound or CT but w/o saying why he felt they were necessary or what he was looking for. He does not answer your questions earthier and rushes you off the phone when he calls you with results.
