Dr. Stephen Lewis Brewbaker, MD

Now that he's retired, I need to get my records. Can anyone assist me? I no longer live in Wilmington

I have been a patient of Dr Brewbaker's office for close to 30 years.... My favorite ladies are still with him too :) He has always listened to me and any concern I have had. He delivered both of my precious babies.. 27-25 years old now . I can not express how thankful I am for this office and the fact that I am not just a number to them. Thank you all for always taking good care of me.!

Very patient, kind, addressed all my issues, and made me feel very comfortable. Even the office staff are so friendly and sweet. I've already recommended this doctor to several people.

Dr Brewbaker delivered my son fresh out of internship. At first he was very nice....then he becamse arrogant, ill tempered and very short. He made me uncomfortable, was ruff during exams, and actually told me to shut up once straight out of surgery when I was frantic and scared bleeding from the surgery point inside..and had to be rushed back to surgery because it wasn't done correctly the first time. He very seldom returned phone calls, pawned me off on everyone else on call and didn't even check on me as his patient when I was admitted while pregnant and overdue. I received a spinal block...where he damaged a nerve as he was going in...leaving my left leg uber sensitive and painful after birth and the feeling cming back...and he told me it was in my head. I despise him. He can no longer practice at NHRMC and does not deliver babies anymore due to so many complaints and malpractice suits being filed. BE CARFUL. At present he does not deliver anymore, sees pregnant patients only… through their first trimester, and then refers them out. He voluntarily surrendered his privaleges knowing it was coming anyway. Hes just got a private life that is apparently hurting his professional life and attitude.

I would recommend Dr. Brewbaker to anyone, and have. He is attentive, caring and easy to talk to. The comfort level provided by the entire staff is second to none!

I have been seeing Dr. Brewbaker for about 21 years. I will continue to see him as long as he is in practice. Great bedside manner, wonderful office staff. The same office staff has been with him every since I have been going there. That tells you alot about a business.
