Dr. Stephen Thomas Bushi, MD

Awful. I've been seeing Dr. Bushi for over years and the quality of care has been awful. Due to my mental health, it's very hard for me to change things about my life (like jobs or doctors etc.) so I've stayed with them for so long. It feels like an abusive relationship. Recently it's gotten very, VERY worse. The new receptionist, Kialee, is incredibly rude, insensitive, loud and disrespectful. They do not care about your feelings, which is ironic because of the profession they've chosen to be in. I have never left an appointment feeling satisfied or safe. Dr. Bushi called me an "addict" to a medication HE prescribed to me. Dr. Bushi has proven that he doesn't understand well, how medications react with a person's illness. He has used my deadname too many times to count, even after I told him is triggers my PTSD and Anxiety. The receptionist, Kialee is an absolute horror to speak with. She is incredibly unkind, non-empathetic and uneducated in dealing with mental health patients in… a crisis. They do not take precaution in how they speak with people who are suicidal. She is incredibly and undeniably void of any sympathy for those who are struggling. I called to cancel an appointment and she literally hung up the phone on me. This has happened on more than one occasion. When I called back, I was sent immediately to voicemail. With his choice to continue to allow Kialee to speak to me in this manner, I do not believe Dr. Bushi should be in practice and should be held accountable. He just reads from the DSM-5 and googles drug interactions. That's something I could do without any professional training. Dr. Bushi and Kialee should be held accountable for their actions. Since they refuse to listen to my concerns, I will definitely be reporting to the Idaho Board of Medicine. So sorry for those who have EVER been subjected to their "care".

Do not see this doctor if you are on parole or probation. He accused me of having used drugs or alcohol. That was his reasoning for my behavior. However, I have been sober. And can prove it. It had been the medication he put me on. That was a huge part of my erratic behavior. This man has lost my respect and trust after how he treated me due to my past. Pre judgement and an unwillingness to believe someone who has been in the system can chance is exactly why people do not change and recidivism is extremely high in this state. Miss. Smith.

Dr. Bushi has treated me for many years. He knows my moods better than anyone else and has helped me a lot. I would recommend him to anyone.

Just horrible patient doctor relations......HORRIBLE.

Good Diagnosis, Good Communication, Focus on Medications, Sometimes does not review patient history prior to visits, thus requiring the patient to recount prior history and clarify patient status.
