Dr. Comite is an exceptional dermatologist. I have been going to Dr. Comite for almost 20 years and I do not have enough good things to say about him and his staff. He has that rare combination of being both extremely knowledgeable and highly personable with a first-rate bedside manner. He is up-to-date on all issues and very detailed. Given my fair skin and some other medical issues, I have regular issues with my skin and the doctor has always quickly and very efficiently dealt with all my issues. I have received many compliments from close friends saying how much better my skin has gotten over the years. He provides very quick and personal follow-up (with any moderate issue, he almost always calls later that day to check in). He and his staff take detailed and comprehensive notes (my file is now almost the size of novel) which means that nothing falls through the cracks. He is extremely accommodating when it comes to appointments. Moreover, I recently had a skin issue come up… on a Friday before a holiday weekend so I contacted him and he came into the office on his day off to take care of the issue. I know there are very few doctors who would do this but it is a perfect representation of the type of doctor and person he is. I give Dr. Comite my highest recommendation.

Dr. Comite has been our family dermatologist for several years now. For some time, we had looked for a practice that took the time to evaluate our issues, and recommend practical treatments that fixed the problems. Dr. Comite's practice is exactly what we were looking for. He is knowledgeable, caring and patient. As the skin is a reflection of other bodily functions, he carefully explores the many possible causes of skin issues. His treatments have been effective and easy to maintain at home. He has never recommended expensive products with complicated regimens; just straight-forward things that work. He is always on time, the treatments needed are done efficiently, usually during the same visit, and we have never felt rushed. His staff are all kind, competent, and efficient. Dr. Comite was an early adopter of virtual visits in the when the virus emerged. There were no gaps in the care he provided despite the unprecedented difficulties. He also actively participated in… regular forums regarding the virus, and he made a point of sharing what he had learned during each virtual visit. He brought clarity to evolving and often conflicting information in those early weeks, and this knowledge-sharing during such a difficult time alleviated much of the fear and confusion generated by the mass media. Dr. Comite is a Dermatologist; but he is much more. We travel about 2 hours to see him, and he is worth every minute.

Dr. Stephen Comite became my dermatologist many years ago when it became clear I needed special long-term treatment of skin problems. Dr. Comite has not only worked effectively as my dermatologist but run a highly professional office with efficient recordkeeping, billing and the assistance of well trained junior medical and administrative staff. This is the best run medical office of any I use in New York City. Dr. Comite takes the time to explain each procedure patiently and clearly. One special feature of his practice I particularly like is Dr. Comite's custom of following up each appointment with a phone call to ensure that treatment has gone well. I enthusiastically recommend the services of this very fine doctor.

Great dermatologist. He is thorough, thoughtful, and the consummate professional. Have had various issues over the years that he treats with care, concern, research-backed advice, and urgency when appropriate. The staff follows his lead, and will be there with you to the point of literally holding your hand if they think it will help. And the doctor follows up any procedure with a call at night – seriously, who does that?
