Dr. Stephen J Eichert, DO

I left a lengthy comment on healthgrades. He did a C3-7 in 2011. If a zero was a choice for rating, that’s what I would have given him. He’s a horrible discourteous man. He overdid my surgery & I have had worse problems since. Wish I had filed med mal suit. I later found out 2 other families did ( 1 person died). Don’t trust him!

Dr. Eichert operated on my lower spine in 2011. I knew for over a decade that I needed to have surgery but I waited for the right surgeon and less invasive surgery. I was blessed with Dr. Eichert. Now I am experiencing symptoms of cervical degenerative disc disease. I wish Dr. Eichert hadn't relocated to another state. I cannot find another surgeon whom I trust more than Dr. Eichert. You are missed in the Dayton area Dr. Eichert!

Dr Eichert done ACDF on me in 2012 at Miami Valley Hospital. I can’t say enough good things about this man. The only negative I can say is I hated to him leave Dayton. I was doing things two things after surgery that doctor Eichert said I could do that my neighbor had the same surgery at the same level by a different doctor & he literally about fell over when he seen me doing the things I was doing. He told me it took him 3 times as long to do the things I was doing. I heard other people say he doesn’t have a great personality but he was very nice & always joking with me & my niece to go along with his world class skills. I recently had another cervical surgery done by another doctor & all I can say is I wish Dr Eichert was still in Dayton he would of done this surgery. Norman, Oklahoma is lucky to have him & Dayton, Ohio lost a top notch neurosurgeon. You guys got a awesome doctor. Brian L

in early 2017 i experience terrible pain in my neck , shoulder , and up to the tip of my finger of my right arm . I was 71 years old and believed i was going to in pain for the rest of my life . My family Physician set up a appointment with Doctor Stephen J Eichert and it changed my life . Doctor Eichert found the problem on my first visit , explained the situation perfectly , a surgery date was set for May 23/2017 . Got released on May 24 /2017 , the pain was gone , got my life back , this was 2 years ago . ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN since the operation . Thank you again Doctor Eichert for giving me back a pain free life .

Had been to three surgeons said I would just have to live with the pain. Had gotten to where I could barely function. Feel the Lord led us to Dr Eichert. From the first visit he said no problem I can fix your back. He was confident in knowing he could fix it which made me comfortable in trusting him. It’s been 2 months and I can’t believe the difference in my back. If you need a back surgeon you will find no one better than Dr Stephen Eichert.

He is a horrible Dr. He just moves from city to city. A friend of mine had back surgery and is 10 times worse. I needed a lower ruptured disc fixed and decided to use dr eichart. I looked up reviews and found it was over all a 3.4. I’m here to tell you that number is way too low. I give him a full 5 stars in every category. He’s not the most personable guy in the world but his expertise makes up for that. He fixed my problem and followed up with me on a regular basis. Thank you dr Eichart for a job well done and making me pain free. Awesome !

Referred to Eichert by my primary on urgent basis for deteriorating lumbar and cervical spine. Exceptionally cold, but hey we go to doctors for their skills, eh? At this time, my neck was so-so, not really hurting and not much numbing/tingling/pain or loss of motor function of the arms or hands. He hurt me tremendously when he put his right hand on the side of my head and used his left hand to shove my neck sideways, mentioning he might have to "do" my neck in the future. He hurt me, and I'm inclined to believe that it was a deliberate act. Since his shoving of my neck sideways, I have had near-constant pain, tingling/numbness, and some motor function problems with my arms and hands. I have since seen another LICENSED by the State of Oklahoma neurosurgeon and will need surgery to stabilize my neck. Do some investigating of Eichert and you may find clues as to his jumping from one state to another. Bypass this "doctor" and find a duly licensed doctor who has been… established in the area with a good reputation. Eichert probably won't be staying for long in Norman, Oklahoma, and will be moving on to some other unsuspecting group practice.

We waited three weeks to see Eikhert. We drove an hour to get there. Went back to the exam room. We waited for I don’t know how long. The nurse came back in and informed us that Eichert won’t see my dads case. He did not even come in to speak to us. My dad has been in extreme pain all this time for nothing. I will never go to this man. I would never recommend him to anyone. On a different note the nurse was awesome.
