Dr. Stephen Gerald Hyde II, MD

I was referred to Dr. Hyde by one of my friends, I was 37 yrs for my first pregnancy and I was very nervous because of lots of horrible stories I have heard from friends about their pregnancy journey and delivery and because of my age and some health complications. We met with Dr. Hyde for the first time and we were just wowed by how thorough he was and attentive and very empathic. I was praying the day of my delivery he would be on shift and available and he was, I had a complicated delivery and he was SUPER helpful and listened to me the entire process and kept checking in every hour as I was in labor for 16 hours and pushing for 4 hours with no progress, he finally came to me after 4 hours, I was out of energy and recommended using forceps to get baby out, I was very very nervous about the forceps but he kept reassuring me throughout the process and to my surprise the baby was out in 5 seconds and the best part is he let me pull him out BEST FEELING EVER AND BEST SURPRISE EVER to be… able to pull baby out of me was the highlight of my delivery. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Dr. Hyde and would recommend to anyone.

I refer Dr. Hyde to anyone who wants to deliver at Evergreen. His manner with his patients is incredibly patient to the point that I have referred friends and family to him that I might of normally referred to OB's I am more bonded with however I knew they needed the extra TLC and he would provide it. His surgical skills are top notch so much that patients who decline blood transfusions and can't make it to downtown Swedish for care I recommend they see him as he is diligent in preventing blood-loss. I work with over 40 delivering doctors between the two hospitals that I work at he is my first recommendation for OB care. I did send my daughter n law to him and he was great with her and she loved him. Another awesome OB delivered my grand baby but even through post partum he was great with her.

He delivered our first baby here. That was an operative vaginal delivery and I had a second degree tear. His "amazing doctor" as everybody mentioned in previous reviews forget a sponge at my stitches and it was there for 8 whole days. I went to postpartum visit after two days of my delivery and even then it was not taken out. I went through that worst pain and when I went again on the 9th day of my delivery then he took it out at his office and guess what he says "You didn't die. Why are you so scared???". So it is your decision to go to this doctor and Evergreen don't have a policy of counting the sponges after an operation which lot of other hospitals follow the rule to count the sponges. So it is your choice.

I just gave birth to twin boys. I could not have asked for a better doctor during my high risk pregnancy. Although I faced some complications and had to go on bed rest, I delivered full term and very healthy babies, thanks to Dr. Hyde's prompt actions and accurate diagnosis.

Dr. Hyde is concise, and makes me feel at ease in uncomfortable situation (Yearly exam in stirrups). Nursing staff top notch.. each one I have encountered over 6 years has been very trusting and genuinely helpful. Well informed.I highly recommend.Front office staff, entirely too chatty with one another. Very clique-y. I always feel like I'm imposing on them, when I enter.

When I first came to Evergreen Womens Care to meet Dr. Hyde to see if it would be a good match for my pregnancy, I was greeted very warmly by the office staff and taken back right away. Although I didn't care much for the MA (she was very aloof and curt) I did find Dr. Hyde to be very caring and compassionate. He did not make me feel rushed and answered all my questions. He spent more time with me than expected and eventhough it was the last appointment of the day (into the evening) I was surprised to see that when I came out the front office person had waited for me in case I needed to schedule any further appointments!! She was very patient and took the time to find appointments around MY schedule and what would work for me! Since then anytime I have a question and call the office a real person actually answers the phone and I found them to be very courteous. I love the RN that works with Dr. Hyde as well. I would highly recommend this clinic!
