Dr. Stephen Paul Juraschek

Dr. Juraschek is a truly good PCP. He takes care of all the general things, and when a special health issue arises, he identifies the needed specialty, then refers the patient to that specialty department (or more than one, in order to pinpoint the exact problem). He doesn't try to make a firm diagnosis on something that he knows should be looked at by a specialist doctor. Dr. Juraschek then makes sure that we discuss the results of my visit with the specialist, and he can take any further steps, if needed. In other words, he keeps tabs on my overall progress. He is also very respectful in his interactions, and at every visit he asks if there is anything else I want to discuss. After having a previous PCP who thought she should make a firm diagnosis on most health issues – which then turned out to be completely wrong, and a major misdiagnosis – it’s refreshing to have a PCP like Dr. Juraschek. He is obviously not driven by self-assuring ego. He is driven by providing the best care.
