Dr. Stephen Carlos Medina, MD

I saw this dr a couple of years ago. He was very uncaring towards me and only seemed interested in his self. I had a procedure done and he didn't care to find out if the camera had actually passed. When asked about an explanation for my disease process, he was more interested in getting lunch with his nurse and calling his wife. There are much better caring physicians in Tulsa who will take the time to truly and sincerely care for you as a patient.

Dr. Medina as been my doctor for 18 yrs. and has treated me very well. He is very professional and his staff has been friendly. He has also taken the time to talk to me and my family.

This is, without a doubt, the rudest doctor I've ever seen as a patient. He is highly judgemental upon first contact with a "God complex" and refuses the more complicated medical cases that require more specialized care beyond a colonoscopy! In other words, he does not want any "peer review" or conferring with Specialists that know more than he does. If you are REALLY sick with chronic illness, I recommend that you look for another physician because this one will not serve you well. I am glad he did not want to take my case, as I believe I would have been lead to a premature death.

Dr Medina performed an EGD on me a year ago. Dx severe gastritis. He prescribed a med that I was already on OTC & was not working, didn't tell me take acid reducer, and refused to give me carfate to protect the lin I ng of my stomach. Now yr later my gastritis is very painful when it could have resolved during past year. Have to weeks for appointment, emergency or not, almost impossible for his staff to get him to respond to patient calls to his nurse. Please don't bother, there really good GI docs in Tulsa.
