Stephen G. Milheim: General surgeon Stephen G. Milheim, MD, F.A.C.S., is a member of the Kalispell Regional Medical Center staff and practices with Northwest Montana Surgical Associates. Dr. Milheim earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School in Boston, then completed both his general surgery internship and residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver. He began practicing medicine in 1992 with Robbins and Bonnet, P.C., where he continued until joining Northwest Montana Surgical Associates in 1994. Dr. Milheim, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, chaired the Department of Surgery for Kalispell Regional Medical Center in 1997. He also served as president of the Flathead Outpatient Surgery Center, Inc. from 2005 to 2007. Currently he heads the Trauma Committee at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Dr. Milheim focuses his practice on general surgery, including hernia, gall bladder, colon, rectal and anal surgery. His goal is to find the best, most cost-effective solutions to surgical problems in order to maximize benefit to the patient while minimizing risk and cost.
