So I had the exact same issue with Dr Patt with him telling me that he would take Cigna insurance and is in network with them and once I met my deductible he began to insist on a co-pay when I do not have insurance that requires a co-pay. After spending hours explaining this to him and showing him the full records of what I was responsible to pay him, he still insisted on co-pays. After speaking with Cigna, this is a violation of his contract with them, and I will file a formal complaint in the hopes that they drop him. They take this very seriously as it not legally allowed. His note taking is the worst I have ever seen. His scribbles on random loose sheets on paper that he can’t really keep track of. He is legally required to keep electronic records and he does not. Even getting him to release my records is a hassle. Seriously, avoid him at all costs. There are thousands of providers in Chicago. Find another one like I am.
