Dr. Stephen Ralph Rakower

I had a small procedure preformed by Dr. Rakower. Prior to the procedure Dr. Rakower heard me out and gave me straight forward answers. He was very caring and genuine with his explanations. My procedure was quick and efficient. I will always to back to Dr. Rakower, if ever needed, and so will my family members and friends (as I always recommend him). He is a brilliant doctor.

Dr. Rakower was recommended by a co-worker whose wife had a similar surgery. Her surgery was very successful with little scarring. He said Dr. R was "brilliant". I talked to my Dr. about him; he had referred one of his relatives to Dr. Rakower. Dr. Rakower listened to my concerns about the surgery, scarring, and the timing of the surgery. He and his staff were wonderful. An added 'confidence booster' for me; before my surgery in the waiting room at the hospital I talked to a man waiting for his wife's surgery to end. It was his wife's second surgery and her surgeon was Dr. Rakower. He said that Dr. R had basically saved his wife's life. My surgery went very smoothly, and with a scar that's hardly noticeable. I'm very pleased with the outcome, the care, and the great follow-up after the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Rakower.

Dr. Rakower did not spend enough time or take my concerns seriously prior to my surgery. A result of this was a botched surgery that has left me requiring more surgerys to fix his "mistake". I highly advise anyone planning a surgery with this doctor to think twice. His reaction to his botched surgery was concerning as well - he did not seemed at all concerned that he had permantly disfigured me.Please use caution if using this surgeon.
