Dr. Stephen George Savage, MD

This Dr in my opinion is offensive and passive aggressive. I would much prefer a Dr that is compassionate to all his patients instead of a select few. I question his trustworthiness as I heard him talking to his nurse as I was passing by about how his last patient had mental health issues.

I went in for an 8 week ultrasound for my first pregnancy. My regular doctor was out so they sent Dr. Savage in to see us. Instead of having a quiet private conversation with the nurse about my ultrasound results I heard Dr. Savage talk very loudly right outside the door saying "so the ultrasound shows the gestational sac but no heartbeat for the embryo, sounds good" then walked in the door. Obviously bad news like this is hard to take either way but to hear your doctor say it before he enters the room is completely unprofessional. After he tells me the news I had already heard through the door he tells us "it is easy to say maybe if I hadn't had that glass of wine or maybe if I didn't fall things would be different but these things just happen" what?!? that is what you say to a woman who just found out the baby she wanted so badly isn't alive? Then he recommends I schedule a medical procedure (D&C) right away to end the pregnancy. Told me that is what most people do, then some… others take the pills to bring on the miscarriage or a small percentage of people just wait it out. I always thought that a medical procedure would be your last resort if things can't happen naturally. When my regular doctor called me the next day he basically said the exact opposite of Dr. Savage's recommendations. If I ever go back to this office when my doctor is not in I will refuse to let Dr. Savage see me for any reason. Total lack or professionalism and not a trustworthy source for information.

With Dr. Savage I know that he won't give me the run around. He will be upfront and honest about your health and your options. I am 36 weeks pregnant with my second child, I was also a patient of Dr. Savages with my first pregnancy. This is a doctor you can trust to answer all of your questions and take all of your concerns seriously. I recommend him to everyone.

I would recommend Dr Savage. He was prompt and to the point, which I appreciate. He answered all my questions and made recommendations for my treatment with the pros and cons. I had to have a test done and he accompanied me and helped with the test. Overall I was very pleased with my experience.
