Dr. Stephen Michael Testa, MD

I liked Dr. Testa the minute I met him. He was patient and kind, and asked pertinent questions. I had some worrisome symptoms, and Dr. Testa scheduled me for a colonoscopy immediately. He performed the procedure, explained everything thoroughly and answered my questions. I felt great afterwards - not sore or crampy. I would recommend Dr. Testa without hesitation and will use him going forward. The staff at Riddle Hospital in Media are outstanding. You will feel pampered and reassured.

I am so very disapointed in the overall lack of concern this doctor shows in his patients that express their pain concerns with him. Went to Dr. Stephen Testa, complaining of ongoing acute stomach pain that I had been experiencing for over two years. At the doctors suggestion I consented to an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Dr. Testa assured me that this procedure would more than likely get to the bottom of what is troubling my stomach. After completing my procedure, the doctor came back to explain that everything went smoothly and he did'nt see any issues. His recomendation, eat smaller portions and follow up with him in 3 months! I came to him in severe stomach distress and left the same way, without any kind of concrete next steps. I'm glad my procedures went well but that didn't bring me any closer to an explanation as to what 'IS" going on with my stomach. I was expecting some tangible next steps as to what "can" be done. Nurses at facility suggested perhaps I needed at CT scan of my… abdomen. Called my primary and she suggested the same thing. So I left a message with Dr. Testa to see if that is a viable next step. I'm disapointed that the doctor seemed unmoved by my expression of stomach pain and merely suggested I follow up with him in 3 months. I'm in pain now, and you're telling me to follow up with you in another 3 months? Really,...what about helping the patient resolve the issue they came to you for!
