Dr. Stephen P Tympanick, DDS

Meet Dr. Tympanick
Dr. Tympanick has been in practice at his current location for over 25 years. He graduated near the top of his class from New York University College of Dentistry and did a general practice residency at Metropolitan Hospital. Dr. Tympanick did his undergraduate work at Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts, where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry.
Dr. Tympanick maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and the New York County Dental Society. In addition, Dr. Tympanick is an active participant in study groups, including the New York Dental Forum and the Peninsula Hospital Lecture Series. Dr. Tympanick was recently recognized by the ADA for providing 25 years of professional service, and by the New York State Continuing Education Board for accumulating over 500 hours of post-graduate education.
Dr. Tympanick has lived on the Upper West Side since 1984, with his wife of 23 years, Margot Gilman, a …magazine editor, and their two daughters, Thea and Lilia. A dedicated sportsman, Stephen maintains a single-digit handicap in golf, and plays ice hockey in two adult leagues. Also a runner, Stephen took the big plunge in 1995, and finished the NYC Marathon in under 4 hours.
