Dr. Stephen Craig Ward, MD

Dr. Ward is the best doctor. He listens and knows exactly what he is doing! He diagnosed my endomotris, did surgery, and my husband and I was able to have a baby after 6 years of infertility. He knew what the problem was when I went to my first appointment. The other doctors didn't!

I have been going to Dr. Ward since I moved to Abilene in 1995. We have moved several times, but I always make a trip to Abilene to see him when necessary. His bedside manner is very warm and caring. He talks to you while he is examining you and puts you at ease and always lets you know what he is about to do. He answers all my questions and never makes me feel like my questions are unimportant or insignificant. We now live 3 hours away and I can't say that I look forward to my "yearly," but I won't go to any other doctor except Dr. Ward!

Out of all the doctors I have been to (including the women physicians), Dr. Ward is the most compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. His bedside manner far exceeded my expectations. His office staff has always been courteous and attentive. Always greeting me by name when I visit. As hard as it is to believe, I look forward to seeing Dr. Ward and his staff!! He performed a hysterectomy on my mom and she was up and around in two days. Other people I know have had the kind where they are cut open. Recovery time is much slower for them. I told them they should have gone to Dr. Ward. I have nothing but praise for him and his staff!!

I started going to Dr. Ward before I got married. Very professional...always explaining what he is going to do. Doesn't mind lots of questions and answers them very thoroughly...never seems rushed unless pager beeps to go deliver a baby:)Dr. Ward delivered all 4 of my babies and did a great job with all of them. He works well with the nurses and makes sure that they know the patient is the number one priority. I have lots of friends that go to him and I have not heard of a complaint yet.I just love his office staff and they always tell me to come back with a baby for them to see. We have gone in just to visit them a few times and so sweet. I could go on, but obviously I highly recommend Dr. Ward!!

The nurse that checks ladies in and takes vitals is very rude. Each time i went there I didnt feel comfortable around her, felt like i was a bug in her hair. The lady that makes appointments though is very nice. We switched offices because of the long wait we experienced that was 2 hours and the rude nurse.
