Dr. Stephen Dennis Wolanske

Dr. Wolanske opted to perform a forceps delivery for my first child birth. Long story short, as a result of this I was severely damaged and have suffered long term side effects. In fact, I have been told I need to have surgery to correct the damage done. I don't blame him as much for the forceps attempt as for the way he tried to cover up the extent of the damage that was done to my vaginal area. He completely minimized the whole experience. I couldn't walk without pain for 6 months and even now, 15 years later, I have physical problems as a direct result of that delivery. I learned later that he should have called in a surgeon to do the repair to my vagina as the damage was so extensive (I remember it took him over 2 hours to "stich me up" and, basically, it wasn't done correctly). I was young and it was my first child birth experience so I didn't know. It wasn't just that he made mistakes, it was that he tried to cover them up, even knowing that he was putting my long term health at… risk. I strongly recommend not selecting Dr. Wolanske.
