Stephen D. Wood, MD

As a new patient with Dr. Wood, I had my annual physical and was more than impressed. Not only did he cover the "usual" things you would expect during such an exam (lab work, blood pressure, checking vital organs, etc.), but went much further, checking my nerve reflexes, cognitive function, flexibility, balance, even my hearing, all while thoroughly explaining what each organ or nerve did. He also took the time to go through things i should watch regarding my prostate (a loss of smell could indicate a problem), and what would be among the first indicators of dementia (a loss of spatial recognition). A dry sense of humor added to his human side while never interfering with his professionalism. A doctor of his sort (for several families he serves four generations) is rare but welcome in today's world.

I have been fortunate enough to have Dr Wood as my primary care physician my entire adult life, and I'm no spring chicken! I am hard to please and very particular so that says a lot! He's kind, smart, interested and efficient. Well worth the hour and a half drive I have been making every 3 months for the last 6 years. There is never a wait, yet when he is with you he never seems as if there are any other patients on his agenda. So glad got I in when I did, I can always get an appt and as another reviewer write, you are ALWAYS treated with respect.

Such an amazing and very smart doctor. Very educated!

I have had a few doctors over the years. Dr. Wood is by far the most well versed and up to date practitioner I have ever known. He can figure out just about anything. He is more concerned with finding and correcting the cause rather than just relieving the symptoms and sending you out the door. He will treat you with respect and as a friend. The only drawback is that he is in great demand, for obvious reasons.

Doctor Wood is caring and personable.Takes time with his patients.Builds a great repore and remembers justabout everything. He is Wonderful!
