Dr. Sterling M Nakamura, MD

this doctor is incompetent. his poor quality of care put my health in danger on more than one occasion, and now i am seeing in reviews he has been accused of being a sexual predator. avoid.

I had severe panic attacks and was going in an out of the ER because I couldn't get it to see anyone. Luckily I was finally given his number by one of the doctors there. Dr. Nakamura got me back on track immediately and I am so thankful to him and his office.

He was frequently checking his phone and not paying attention...and only cared if I would want medications.

I recommend him for great care. I have been seeing him for several months now and have had surprisingly good improvements in my anxiety. Having struggled with this for years I wish that I had found this office much sooner.

I always enjoy seeing Dr. Nakamura and his wonderful staff. I have been coming here for several years and highly recommend him. He is always available to get in for an appointment when needed. He is knowledgeable and caring and provides me with great direction.

Thanks to Dr. Nakamura I am back on track with what has been a difficult past few years. I put off seeing a doctor for too long because of my past experiences with other Psychiatrists, but I should not have been hesitant because he has been terrific. Again, I highly recommend him.

As I wrote in my google review I am very happy with this doctor. I was treated very well by everyone at the office and always look forward to my appointments. The medications that the doctor Nakamura prescribe are very helpful. There are never any problems getting a hold of someone and it is nice that he is on my insurance too. It was hard to find the office the first time but that wasn't a problem at the next visits and the office is nice and comfortable. I have a family member that goes here too and she is happy with her visits as well.

I am very happy with the care I am receiving from his office. Quick to get me in when needed and great about answering questions and trouble shooting problems. I highly recommend.

I was under treatment with him for more than 2 years, most of which I did not see his psychiatric nurse for. I saw him once, and the rest of the time it was his psychiatric nurse, who was good but did not give much time. Nakamura's office did not schedule followup appointments with me and then accused me of procuring the prescription out of thin air. Clearly they had made an error, because someone from their admin office continued refilling the prescription despite no followup appointments, and then blamed me for not making an appointment. One goes to doctors with a degree of trust, which they violated with their disrespectful tone and callous dismissal.

No people skills whatsoever. He doesn't give you the common courtesy you deserve. His eyes will glaze over. He will look bored. His nurse Judson will do all the work and Nakamura will randomly barge in in the middle of the appointment to check in and then immediately leave. His phone number is worthless and all he'll do it have you email instead (not a secure communications method). The single worst medical "professional" I've ever encountered.
